IV. Procedure
a. Review:
Name trees that bear fruits that are saleable in the market. How many years do you think each tree
before it can bear a fruit?
b. Motivation
Ask: “ Is it possible to grow fruit bearing trees in a pot or in a small vase? Is it possible for a tree to
bear fruits in a short period of time?
Show pictures in the slides of different trees .Let them observe and say something about each
picture.

d. Application
Demonstrate the three processes of asexual propagation.
e. Generalization:
What are the ways of propagating plants?
What do we call the scientific ways of propagating plants?
f. Evaluation
Group the pupils into 3. Let each group perform the following:
Remind the pupils of the safety precaution in handling or using the tools.
Group 1 and 2 -Marcotting or air layering
Group 3 and 4- Grafting
Group 5 and 6- Budding
g. Assignment
Search in the internet the other ways of propagating plants. Submit your output in a hardcopy.
