The witch gave a bottle of poison to her to be added into the princess food. That poison would change

At the evening when the dinner started, the sister added the poison into the food for the princess.
Nobody knew about that. The princess ate her food without noticed that there was a danger inside her
food.

After eating, in the night, the princess’ skin was blister. The princess felt hurt and she cried to ask for a
help.
No one could help her even the physicians in that kingdom. The princess was looked so scary like a
monster. She was so sad and shy because anybody was afraid of her. Then she ran away and away from
the kingdom.

She walked alone through the deep forest day and night. She was like a monster so that no animal or
predator was brave to close to her. That made her more and more sad.

She walked until she reached a beach and then she felt so tired because she never had a rest from
walking.

Resolution

At that beach she began to sleep. She did not realized that she had been sleeping for three months and
she woke up because there was a very handsome man come and woke her up.

“Wake up dear poor princes.” The man said.

“Oh, who are you? Why are you not afraid of me?” the princess asked.

“I am the king of the sea. You have been sleeping here for three months in suffer. So, it is the time for me
to help you. I will give back your beauty but after that you will never get your previous life.” The man
said.

“Oh, my lord, you are so kind. I have lost my previous life so I like to have the new life. What should I do
my lord?” the princess asked.

“Follow me to come closer to the sea.”

The princess followed that man walked into the sea. After touching the sea, the princess’ beauty was
back to her. She also amazed that the half of her body was a fish body.
“Now you cannot stay at the land dear princess, you will forever live in the sea like the fish. But don’t be
sad. I will marry you and you will be the queen in my kingdom.” The man said.

Since that, the princess never went back to the land. The king of the sea married her and she became
the queen of the sea.

Sometimes she appeared at the corral to see the sun. Some tailors or fisherman who had ever seen her
called her a mermaid

One upon a time, there was a single father with a very beautiful daughter named Cinderella. Her mother
had rested in peace in heaven.

The father looked for a new wife to take care of the home and his daughter when he worked at the day.

The father got a wife with two daughters with the same age of her daughter.

For a couple of month after marriage, the father passed away. After that, the step mother and sisters of
Cinderella showed their real face.

Complication

Cinderella was treated like a helper to do all of housework from early morning until night while the
stepmother and the stepsisters were only having fun all the day.
One day, the king created a dance party to find the most beautiful girl to be the prince’s wife.

The king invited all people in that country, especially to whom who had daughters.

The Cinderella’s step mother had that invitation and asked her two daughters to come at the party.

Of course they were so happy except Cinderella that was not allowed to come. Anyway, even Cinderella
dressed in a poor dress, she looked more beautiful than her step sisters.

The big day was coming and all girls were busy to prepare their beauty to come at the party except
Cinderella.

A long the day, Cinderella desperately helped her sisters to prepare their dress, hair and everything to
make them looked beautiful.

Inside her heart, Cinderella really wants to join the party but she could not do that and she was too
afraid to ask her step mother to join the party. Her step mother asked Cinderella to stay at home to wait
their coming.

In the evening, all people started to go to the party. Cinderella was alone at home and cried silently.

She prayed for the miracle coming for her. Her praying became true. Her Godmother came to help her to
be able to join the party.

“Don’t cry, Cinderella, I am here to help you.”

After that the Godmother changed the pumpkin to be a very beautiful cart, changed six rats to be six big
horses and changed a lizard to be a coachman.

After that the Godmother changed Cinderella’s appearance to be looked more and more beautiful in a
beautiful dress, hair, and also with a couple of glass shoes.

Surely, Cinderella was ready to come to the party and became the most beautiful girl there.

The Godmother said, “Cinderella, now you can go there, but remember that you have to come home
before midnight because at that time everything that you have now will disappear.”

Cinderella went to the party by her magical cart.

In the party, no body recognized her as Cinderella even her step mother and sisters.

The prince saw Cinderella as the best girl in the party and he asked her to dance with him.

A long the party, the prince spent the time with Cinderella only to talk each other.

Cinderella was so happy and she almost forgot that the time was already end. She ran quickly leaving the
prince and the party and because of that one of her shoes was left. The prince took that shoe and kept
that.

The prince was already falling in love and he promised to find the girl who had that glass shoe.

The next day after the party, the prince and his guardians went around looking for the girl who had the
glass shoe.
Every girl in that country was asked to wear that shoe and so far there was no one who has the foot with
the same size of that shoe.

Finally, the prince came to Cinderella’s house. Her stepmother and sisters welcomed the prince proudly.

Resolution

The prince said to the stepmother, “How many daughter you have madam?”

The stepmother said, “I have three daughters but I guess you will like one of my two daughters because
the other one is so ugly.”

The prince said, “Okay, but I’m looking for the girl to whom this shoe belongs. Let me asked all your
daughters try this shoe.”

One by one Cinderella’s step sisters try that shoe but they could not fix their feet in that shoe.

And the last, Cinderella try to wear her glass shoe and of course she could do that because she was the
only one who can wear that shoe.

The prince looked Cinderella deeply and he remembered that Cinderella was the girl in that party who
run away before midnight.

“I know you, beautiful lady. You cannot hide yourself in this dirty dress. I have been falling in love since I
meet you in the party. Would you like to marry me?” The prince asked Cinderella.

“Yes I would, My Lord.” Cinderella replied.

After that, the prince married Cinderella and they were happy evermore shall be

One day, i only got 28,75 for my national exam result and i was so disappointed because i couldn’t be the
student of a best school that i wanted before. But in the other side, i’m so grateful for being honest to
answer each questions.

Finally, in August 2016, “Now, the best points of physics’ post-test this month is 21 and the one who gets
that score is Ciara. Congratulation. Automatically, Ciara’s score is 100 in the report card soon.”

After that day, i strongly believe i can achieve my goals, those are; an acceleration student and the first
champion of this semester. I always study harder than before as i can. I often woke up in the midnight
until morning for studying, and i didn’t forget to pray. Not only that thing, but i also helped my friends in
need. If my friends asked me to teach them, i’d teach them in each lesson although i was busy that time.
I believe, if we can help others by heart, God will prepare what’s the good thing will be given for us.

Time flies so fast, the first semester of my high school has ended with many experiences that i had. I
gave all of my hopes to God included being an acceleration student and the rank that will be given by
Him. On December, 6th 2016, in my bad condition because of my illness, i went to school for
accompanying my mother who would take my report card. Before i entered my classroom, my friend was
coming to me and my mom like something would be chasing her. Her name is Salsa.

“Ciara, congratulations! You’ve got the first rank of this semester! I’m so proud of being your friend.”

In the beginning, i couldn’t believe what she said because i haven’t met my class-teacher before and i
was worrying my score in chemistry. My mom and i quickly went to 10 Science 2 which is my classroom
to meet Mr. Harry, he is my class-teacher.
“Congratulations, Mrs. Rosella. Your little daughter, Ciara, is being the first champion of this semester.
Her total score after divided by the total lessons that she learned before is 86 and being the candidate of
the acceleration student,” said Mr. Harry proudly.

“Thank you so much, Sir.” thank Mom to Mr. Harry.

“But, sorry Ma’am. For her IQ score which is only 105, she needs to take the IQ test again for being
accepted as a student of acceleration. Because the acceleration student’s IQ score shouldn’t be under
120 and she must take the CQ test also.”

By my parents’ believe and my dream of being an acceleration student, i was accepting that offer. After
that day, i divided my holiday time to watch the settlement of IQ tests’ questions, and answer the
question of IQ tests from my books and the internet’s webs such as verbal questions until the intellectual
activity one. And i was asking my seniors about the selection of entering the acceleration class. The
God’s plan are always precious and priceless, i achieved all of my dreams in this semester. Finally, i have
been accepted as a new student of acceleration class by the 130 for the IQ score and 133 for the CQ.
Being an acceleration student has never been easy, i promise to God that i will be on this duty by study
hard and pray hard.

From these experiences, i believe, something won’t be happened if we don’t believe and do the best as
we can. And another best thing will come if God don’t accept one of your dream, so don’t worry. Just
give the best thing that you can give to others.

In Ancient times, There lived many Gods and Goddesses. Sol was one of the powerful Gods. He was kind,
Good, and always helps one in need. Because of his will of justice, all the Gods agrees so that Sol will be
crowned as the king of the Galaxy, Andromedia. But, Since then all the Gods and all the Goddesses
dislikes him. But they do have a reason for this.

One day, when Sirius the brightest amongst the Gods was inviting many to come to his party. The
banquet was so big that all the Gods can be served satisfactingly. But… when everyone was chatting,
laughing and drinking, Sol suddenly showed up and ruined everything. On many other days too. He
would annoy the Goddesses when they are doing their duties. Even when they bathe in the springs. The
Gods do acknowledge his skills in wars and such, but having him as a troublemaker, was worse than
anything.

The worst one was when he tried to steal Aldabaron’s horn. So that the universe shall bow down to him.
This made the Gods wrath raises upon him. They couldn’t take it anymore. They cant riak to be fooled by
one of his tricks again. So all the war Gods like Vega, Debeb, Alpha, Arcturus and many more, they
gather, they unite. Planning to capture Sol and imprison him in a black hole. A black hole was so strong
even light itself could not escape. They fought, they fought with all their stregth and might. But still. Sol
was undefeatable. This made the Gods even angrier at him. The Gods went to Metis. The wisest amongst
the Goddesses.

“He cant be left alone like this. He will bring more problems in the future!” Said Vega.

“Cant you just drag him into a blackhole over the edge?!” said Arcturus.

Metis stood up from her throne. And said “Sol, actions have consequences. Now that all the Gods and
Goddesses hates your wrong doings, thou you shall be exiled from here” by the time Metis finished her
sentence, Sol vanished. From Andromedia to Milky Way. Becoming the Sun. And the other Gods were
the stars. But they will never meet each other again. Even tho they share the same sky. For the sun
shines at Day. For the stars shines at night. The End.

tentang tiga babi kecil (The Three Little Pig). Selamat Membaca :

Once upon a time there were three little pigs, who left their mummy and daddy to see the world.

All summer long, they roamed through the woods and over the plains, playing games and having fun.
None were happier than the three little pigs, and they easily made friends with everyone. Wherever they
went, they were given a warm welcome, but as summer drew to a close, they realized that folk were
drifting back to their usual jobs, and preparing for winter. Autumn came and it began to rain. The three
little pigs started to feel they needed a real home. Sadly they knew that the fun was over now and they
must set to work like the others, or they'd be left in the cold and rain, with no roof over their heads.
They talked about what to do, but each decided for himself. The laziest little pig said he'd build a straw
hut.

"It will only take a day,' he said. The others disagreed.

"It's too fragile," they said disapprovingly, but he refused to listen. Not quite so lazy, the second little pig
went in search of planks of seasoned wood.

"Clunk! Clunk! Clunk!" It took him two days to nail them together. But the third little pig did not like the
wooden house.

"That's not the way to build a house!" he said. "It takes time, patience and hard work to build a house
that is strong enough to stand up to wind, rain, and snow, and most of all, protect us from the wolf!"
The days went by, and the wisest little pig's house took shape, brick by brick. From time to time, his
brothers visited him, saying with a chuckle.

"Why are you working so hard? Why don't you come and play?" But the stubborn bricklayer pig just said
"no".

"I shall finish my house first. It must be solid and sturdy. And then I'll come and play!" he said. "I shall not
be foolish like you! For he who laughs last, laughs longest!"

It was the wisest little pig that found the tracks of a big wolf in the neighborhood.

The little pigs rushed home in alarm. Along came the wolf, scowling fiercely at the laziest pig's straw hut.

"Come out!" ordered the wolf, his mouth watering. I want to speak to you!"

"I'd rather stay where I am!" replied the little pig in a tiny voice.

"I'll make you come out!" growled the wolf angrily, and puffing out his chest, he took a very deep breath.
Then he blew with all his might, right onto the house. And all the straw the silly pig had heaped against
some thin poles, fell down in the great blast. Excited by his own cleverness, the wolf did not notice that
the little pig had slithered out from underneath the heap of straw, and was dashing towards his brother's
wooden house. When he realized that the little pig was escaping, the wolf grew wild with rage.
"Come back!" he roared, trying to catch the pig as he ran into the wooden house. The other little pig
greeted his brother, shaking like a leaf.

"I hope this house won't fall down! Let's lean against the door so he can't break in!"

Outside, the wolf could hear the little pigs' words. Starving as he was, at the idea of a two course meal,
he rained blows on the door.

"Open up! Open up! I only want to speak to you!"

Inside, the two brothers wept in fear and did their best to hold the door fast against the blows. Then the
furious wolf braced himself a new effort: he drew in a really enormous breath, and went ... WHOOOOO!
The wooden house collapsed like a pack of cards.

Luckily, the wisest little pig had been watching the scene from the window of his own brick house, and
he rapidly opened the door to his fleeing brothers. And not a moment too soon, for the wolf was already
hammering furiously on the door. This time, the wolf had grave doubts. This house had a much more
solid air than the others. He blew once, he blew again and then for a third time. But all was in vain. For
the house did not budge an inch. The three little pigs watched him and their fear began to fade. Quite
exhausted by his efforts, the wolf decided to try one of his tricks. He scrambled up a nearby ladder, on to
the roof to have a look at the chimney. However, the wisest little pig had seen this ploy, and he quickly
said.

"Quick! Light the fire!" With his long legs thrust down the chimney, the wolf was not sure if he should
slide down the black hole. It wouldn't be easy to get in, but the sound of the little pigs' voices below only
made him feel hungrier.

"I'm dying of hunger! I'm going to try and get down." And he let himself drop. But landing was rather
hot, too hot! The wolf landed in the fire, stunned by his fall.
The flames licked his hairy coat and his tail became a flaring torch.

"Never again! Never again will I go down a chimney" he squealed, as he tried to put out the flames in his
tail. Then he ran away as fast as he could.

The three happy little pigs, dancing round and round the yard, began to sing. "Tra-la-la! Tra-la-la! The
wicked black wolf will never come back...!"

From that terrible day on, the wisest little pig's brothers set to work with a will. In less than no time, up
went the two new brick houses. The wolf did return once to roam in the neighborhood, but when he
caught sight of three chimneys, he remembered the terrible pain of a burnt tail, and he left for good.

Now safe and happy, the wisest little pig called to his brothers. "No more work! Come on, let's go and

A long time ago there were a king and queen who said every day, "Ah, if only we had a child," but they
never had one. But it happened that once when the queen was bathing, a frog crept out of the water on
to the land, and said to her, "Your wish shall be fulfilled, before a year has gone by, you shall have a
daughter."

What the frog had said came true, and the queen had a little girl who was so pretty that the king could
not contain himself for joy, and ordered a great feast. He invited not only his kindred, friends and
acquaintances, but also the wise women, in order that they might be kind and well disposed towards the
child. There were thirteen of them in his kingdom, but, as he had only twelve golden plates for them to
eat out of, one of them had to be left at home.

The feast was held with all manner of splendor and when it came to an end the wise women bestowed
their magic gifts upon the baby - one gave virtue, another beauty, a third riches, and so on with
everything in the world that one can wish for.
When eleven of them had made their promises, suddenly the thirteenth came in. She wished to avenge
herself for not having been invited, and without greeting, or even looking at anyone, she cried with a
loud voice, "The king's daughter shall in her fifteenth year prick herself with a spindle, and fall down
dead." And, without saying a word more, she turned round and left the room.

They were all shocked, but the twelfth, whose good wish still remained unspoken, came forward, and as
she could not undo the evil sentence, but only soften it, she said, it shall not be death, but a deep sleep
of a hundred years, into which the princess shall fall.

The king, who would fain keep his dear child from the misfortune, gave orders that every spindle in the
whole kingdom should be burnt. Meanwhile the gifts of the wise women were plenteously fulfilled on
the young girl, for she was so beautiful, modest, good-natured, and wise, that everyone who saw her
was bound to love her.

It happened that on the very day when she was fifteen years old, the king and queen were not at home,
and the maiden was left in the palace quite alone. So she went round into all sorts of places, looked into
rooms and bed-chambers just as she liked, and at last came to an old tower. She climbed up the narrow
winding staircase, and reached a little door. A rusty key was in the lock, and when she turned it the door
sprang open, and there in a little room sat an old woman with a spindle, busily spinning her flax.

"Good day, old mother," said the king's daughter, "what are you doing there?"

"I am spinning," said the old woman, and nodded her head.
"What sort of thing is that, that rattles round so merrily," said the girl, and she took the spindle and
wanted to spin too. But scarcely had she touched the spindle when the magic decree was fulfilled, and
she pricked her finger with it.

And, in the very moment when she felt the prick, she fell down upon the bed that stood there, and lay in
a deep sleep. And this sleep extended over the whole palace, the king and queen who had just come
home, and had entered the great hall, began to go to sleep, and the whole of the court with them. The
horses, too, went to sleep in the stable, the dogs in the yard, the pigeons upon the roof, the flies on the
wall, even the fire that was flaming on the hearth became quiet and slept, the roast meat left off
frizzling, and the cook, who was just going to pull the hair of the scullery boy, because he had forgotten
something, let him go, and went to sleep. And the wind fell, and on the trees before the castle not a leaf
moved again.

But round about the castle there began to grow a hedge of thorns, which every year became higher, and
at last grew close up round the castle and all over it, so that there was nothing of it to be seen, not even
the flag upon the roof. But the story of the beautiful sleeping Briar Rose, for so the princess was named,
went about the country, so that from time to time kings' sons came and tried to get through the thorny
hedge into the castle. But they found it impossible, for the thorns held fast together, as if they had
hands, and the youths were caught in them, could not get loose again, and died a miserable death.

After long, long years a king's son came again to that country, and heard an old man talking about the
thorn hedge, and that a castle was said to stand behind it in which a wonderfully beautiful princess,
named Briar Rose, had been asleep for a hundred years, and that the king and queen and the whole
court were asleep likewise. He had heard, too, from his grandfather, that many kings, sons had already
come, and had tried to get through the thorny hedge, but they had remained sticking fast in it, and had
died a pitiful death.

Then the youth said, "I am not afraid, I will go and see the beautiful Briar Rose." The good old man might
dissuade him as he would, he did not listen to his words.

But by this time the hundred years had just passed, and the day had come when Briar Rose was to awake
again. When the king's son came near to the thorn hedge, it was nothing but large and beautiful flowers,
which parted from each other of their own accord, and let him pass unhurt, then they closed again
behind him like a hedge. In the castle yard he saw the horses and the spotted hounds lying asleep, on
the roof sat the pigeons with their heads under their wings. And when he entered the house, the flies
were asleep upon the wall, the cook in the kitchen was still holding out his hand to seize the boy, and the
maid was sitting by the black hen which she was going to pluck.

He went on farther, and in the great hall he saw the whole of the court lying asleep, and up by the
throne lay the king and queen. Then he went on still farther, and all was so quiet that a breath could be
heard, and at last he came to the tower, and opened the door into the little room where Briar Rose was
sleeping.

There she lay, so beautiful that he could not turn his eyes away, and he stooped down and gave her a
kiss. But as soon as he kissed her, Briar Rose opened her eyes and awoke, and looked at him quite
sweetly.

Then they went down together, and the king awoke, and the queen, and the whole court, and looked at
each other in great astonishment. And the horses in the courtyard stood up and shook themselves, the
hounds jumped up and wagged their tails, the pigeons upon the roof pulled out their heads from under
their wings, looked round, and flew into the open country, the flies on the wall crept again, the fire in the
kitchen burned up and flickered and cooked the meat, the joint began to turn and sizzle again, and the
cook gave the boy such a box on the ear that he screamed, and the maid finished plucking the fowl.

And then the marriage of the king's son with Briar Rose was celebrated with all splendor, and they lived
contented to the end of their days.

come, and had tried to get through the thorny hedge, but they had remained sticking fast in it, and had
died a pitiful death.

And then the marriage of the king's son with Briar Rose was celebrated with all splendor, and they lived
contented to the end of their days.

tentang Little Red Riding Hood. Selamat Membaca :

Once upon a time in the middle of a thick forest stood a small cottage, the home of a pretty little girl
known to everyone as Little Red Riding Hood. One day, her Mummy waved her goodbye at the garden
gate, saying: "Grandma is ill. Take her this basket of cakes, but be very careful. Keep to the path through
the wood and don't ever stop. That way, you will come to no harm."
Little Red Riding Hood kissed her mother and ran off. "Don't worry," she said, "I'll run all the way to
Grandma's without stopping."

Full of good intentions, the little girl made her way through the wood, but she was soon to forget her
mother's wise words. "What lovely strawberries! And so red."

Laying her basket on the ground, Little Red Riding Hood bent over the strawberry plants. "They're nice
and ripe, and so big! Yummy! Delicious! Just another one. And one more. This is the last. Well, this one
Mmmm."

The red fruit peeped invitingly through the leaves in the grassy glade, and Little Red Riding Hood ran
back and forth popping strawberries into her mouth. Suddenly she remembered her mother, her
promise, Grandma and the basket and hurried back towards the path. The basket was still in the grass
and, humming to herself, Little Red Riding Hood walked on.

The wood became thicker and thicker. Suddenly a yellow butterfly fluttered down through the trees.
Little Red Riding Hood started to chase the butterfly.

"I'll catch you! I'll catch you!" she called. Suddenly she saw some large daisies in the grass.

"Oh, how sweet!" she exclaimed and, thinking of Grandma, she picked a large bunch of flowers.
In the meantime, two wicked eyes were spying on her from behind a tree a strange rustling in the woods
made Little Red Riding Hood's heart thump.

Now quite afraid she said to herself. "I must find the path and run away from here!"

At last she reached the path again but her heart leapt into her mouth at the sound of a gruff voice which
said: "Where are you going, my pretty girl, all alone in the woods?"

"I'm taking Grandma some cakes. She lives at the end of the path," said Little Riding Hood in a faint
voice.

When he heard this, the wolf (for it was the big bad wolf himself) politely asked: "Does Grandma live by
herself?"

"Oh, yes," replied Little Red Riding Hood, "and she never opens the door to strangers!"

"Goodbye. Perhaps we'll meet again," replied the wolf. Then he loped away thinking to himself "I'll
gobble the grandmother first, then lie in wait for the grandchild!" At last, the cottage came in sight.
Knock! Knock! The wolf rapped on the door.

"Who's there?" cried Grandma from her bed.

"It's me, Little Red Riding Hood. I've brought you some cakes because you're ill," replied the wolf, trying
hard to hide his gruff voice.

"Lift the latch and come in," said Grandma, unaware of anything amiss, till a horrible shadow appeared
on the wall. Poor Grandma! For in one bound, the wolf leapt across the room and, in a single mouthful,
swallowed the old lady. Soon after, Little Red Riding Hood tapped on the door.
"Grandma, can I come in?" she called.

Now, the wolf had put on the old lady's shawl and cap and slipped into the bed. Trying to imitate
Grandma's quavering little voice, he replied: "Open the latch and come in!

"What a deep voice you have," said the little girl in surprise.

"The better to greet you with," said the wolf.

"Goodness, what big eyes you have."

"The better to see you with."

"And what big hands you have!" exclaimed Little Red Riding Hood, stepping over to the bed.

"The better to hug you with," said the wolf.

"What a big mouth you have," the little girl murmured in a weak voice.

"The better to eat you with!" growled the wolf, and jumping out of bed, he swallowed her up too. Then,
with a fat full tummy, he fell fast asleep.

In the meantime, a hunter had emerged from the wood, and on noticing the cottage, he decided to stop
and ask for a drink. He had spent a lot of time trying to catch a large wolf that had been terrorizing the
neighborhood, but had lost its tracks. The hunter could hear a strange whistling sound; it seemed to be
coming from inside the cottage. He peered through the window and saw the large wolf himself, with a
fat full tummy, snoring away in Grandma's bed.
"The wolf! He won't get away this time!"

Without making a sound, the hunter carefully loaded his gun and gently opened the window. He pointed
the barrel straight at the wolf's head and BANG! The wolf was dead.

"Got you at last!" shouted the hunter in glee. "You'll never frighten anyone again.

He cut open the wolf's stomach and to his amazement, out popped Grandma and Little Red Riding Hood,
safe and unharmed.

"You arrived just in time," murmured the old lady, quite overcome by all the excitement.

"It's safe to go home now," the hunter told Little Red Riding Hood. "The big bad wolf is dead and gone,
and there is no danger on the path.

Still scared, the little girl hugged her grandmother. Oh, what a dreadful fright!"

Much later, as dusk was falling, Little Red Riding Hood's mother arrived, all out of breath, worried
because her little girl had not come home. And when she saw Little Red Riding Hood, safe and sound,
she burst into tears of joy.

After thanking the hunter again, Little Red Riding Hood and her mother set off towards the wood. As
they walked quickly through the trees, the little girl told her mother: "We must always keep to the path
and never stop. That way, we come to no harm!"

Dongeng Bahasa Inggris tentang Snow White dan the Seven Dwarfs.

Once upon a time in a great castle, a Prince's daughter grew up happy and contented, in spite of a
jealous stepmother. She was very pretty, with blue eyes and long black hair. Her skin was delicate and
fair, and so she was called Snow White. Everyone was quite sure she would become very beautiful.
Though her stepmother was a wicked woman, she too was very beautiful, and the magic mirror told her
this every day, whenever she asked it.

"Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the loveliest lady in the land?" The reply was always; "You are, your
Majesty," until the dreadful day when she heard it say, "Snow White is the loveliest in the land." The
stepmother was furious and, wild with jealousy, began plotting to get rid of her rival. Calling one of her
trusty servants, she bribed him with a rich reward to take Snow White into the forest, far away from the
Castle. Then, unseen, he was to put her to death. The greedy servant, attracted to the reward, agreed to
do this deed, and he led the innocent little girl away. However, when they came to the fatal spot, the
man's courage failed him and, leaving Snow White sitting beside a tree, he mumbled an excuse and ran
off. Snow White was all alone in the forest.

Night came, but the servant did not return. Snow White, alone in the dark forest, began to cry bitterly.
She thought she could feel terrible eyes spying on her, and she heard strange sounds and rustlings that
made her heart thump. At last, overcome by tiredness, she fell asleep curled under a tree.

Snow White slept fitfully, wakening from time to time with a start and staring into the darkness round
her. Several times, she thought she felt something, or somebody touch her as she slept.

At last, dawn woke the forest to the song of the birds, and Snow White too, awoke. A whole world was
stirring to life and the little girl was glad to see how silly her fears had been. However, the thick trees
were like a wall round her, and as she tried to find out where she was, she came upon a path. She walked
along it, hopefully. On she walked till she came to a clearing. There stood a strange cottage, with a tiny
door, tiny windows and a tiny chimney pot. Everything about the cottage was much tinier than it ought
to be. Snow White pushed the door open.
"l wonder who lives here?" she said to herself, peeping round the kitchen. "What tiny plates! And
spoons! There must be seven of them, the table's laid for seven people." Upstairs was a bedroom with
seven neat little beds. Going back to the kitchen, Snow White had an idea.

"I'll make them something to eat. When they come home, they'll be glad to find a meal ready." Towards
dusk, seven tiny men marched homewards singing. But when they opened the door, to their surprise
they found a bowl of hot steaming soup on the table, and the whole house spick and span. Upstairs was
Snow White, fast asleep on one of the beds. The chief dwarf prodded her gently.

"Who are you?" he asked. Snow White told them her sad story, and tears sprang to the dwarfs' eyes.
Then one of them said, as he noisily blew his nose:

"Stay here with us!"

"Hooray! Hooray!" they cheered, dancing joyfully round the little girl. The dwarfs said to Snow White:

"You can live here and tend to the house while we're down the mine. Don't worry about your
stepmother leaving you in the forest. We love you and we'll take care of you!" Snow White gratefully
accepted their hospitality, and next morning the dwarfs set off for work. But they warned Snow White
not to open the door to strangers.

Meanwhile, the servant had returned to the castle, with the heart of a roe deer. He gave it to the cruel
stepmother, telling her it belonged to Snow White, so that he could claim the reward. Highly pleased, the
stepmother turned again to the magic mirror. But her hopes were dashed, for the mirror replied: "The
loveliest in the land is still Snow White, who lives in the seven dwarfs' cottage, down in the forest." The
stepmother was beside herself with rage.

"She must die! She must die!" she screamed. Disguising herself as an old peasant woman, she put a
poisoned apple with the others in her basket. Then, taking the quickest way into the forest, she crossed
the swamp at the edge of the trees. She reached the bank unseen, just as Snow White stood waving
goodbye to the seven dwarfs on their way to the mine.

Snow White was in the kitchen when she heard the sound at the door: KNOCK! KNOCK!

"Who's there?" she called suspiciously, remembering the dwarfs advice.

"I'm an old peasant woman selling apples," came the reply.

"I don't need any apples, thank you," she replied.

"But they are beautiful apples and ever so juicy!" said the velvety voice from outside the door.

"I'm not supposed to open the door to anyone," said the little girl, who was reluctant to disobey her
friends.

"And quite right too! Good girl! If you promised not to open up to strangers, then of course you can't
buy. You are a good girl indeed!" Then the old woman went on.

"And as a reward for being good, I'm going to make you a gift of one of my apples!" Without a further
thought, Snow White opened the door just a tiny crack, to take the apple.

"There! Now isn't that a nice apple?" Snow White bit into the fruit, and as she did, fell to the ground in a
faint: the effect of the terrible poison left her lifeless instantaneously.

Now chuckling evilly, the wicked stepmother hurried off. But as she ran back across the swamp, she
tripped and fell into the quicksand. No one heard her cries for help, and she disappeared without a
trace.
Meanwhile, the dwarfs came out of the mine to find the sky had grown dark and stormy. Loud thunder
echoed through the valleys and streaks of lightning ripped the sky. Worried about Snow White they ran
as quickly as they could down the mountain to the cottage.

There they found Snow White, lying still and lifeless, the poisoned apple by her side. They did their best
to bring her around, but it was no use.

They wept and wept for a long time. Then they laid her on a bed of rose petals, carried her into the
forest and put her in a crystal coffin.

Each day they laid a flower there.

Then one evening, they discovered a strange young man admiring Snow White's lovely face through the
glass. After listening to the story, the Prince (for he was a prince!) made a suggestion.

"If you allow me to take her to the Castle, I'll call in famous doctors to waken her from this peculiar
sleep. She's so lovely I'd love to kiss her!" He did, and as though by magic, the Prince's kiss broke the
spell. To everyone's astonishment, Snow White opened her eyes. She had amazingly come back to life!
Now in love, the Prince asked Snow White to marry him, and the dwarfs reluctantly had to say good bye
to Snow White.

From that day on, Snow White lived happily in a great castle. But from time to time, she was drawn back
to visit the little cottage down in the forest.
