Why are you applying for Financial Aid?

I graduated this year from an Indian University and am currently unemployed. I do not have any
special source of income and my father is the only one earning. I tried my best not to take financial
aid by paying for the courses till now from the money I earned on my own, but now I have exhausted
all my resources. I don't want to burden my parents as I know it'll be very difficult for them to pay. I
do see many websites offering courses at a very low price but I'm gonna stick with coursera as the
course structure is unbeatable. Completing assignments, projects and giving quiz to pass makes me
gain confidence when I'm able to complete them. Peer graded assignments are a challenge and it's
really a surprise to see the reactions of other people. I am very confident of the courses I have done
till now and have received good amount of knowledge by doing them.

How will taking this course help you achieve your career goals?

Algorithms are the heart of computer science. Doing this course will not only make my Resume get
an edge over others but also give me good career prospects. A verified certificate will attach
credibility to the certificate I receive from this course. The field of software technology is becoming
saturated, and it's becoming difficult to get jobs, industries are now placing a high level of
importance on certifications. By sharing my certificate on platforms like Linkedin will help recruiters
identify me as an prospective employer. I even want to freelance which not only requires skills but
certifications as well to prove that I am worthy enough to complete the given assignment. As a
beginner certificates prove to be important as it's the only prove that makes people think that I'm
genuine and makes me grab some projects.

Financial aid. That course helped me grab few small projects because of which I was able to pay for
my Cybersecurity course in coursera. Doing this course will increase my knowledge on python and
allow me to do big projects. Also earning certificate will give my resume an edge over others . The
field of software technology is becoming saturated, and it's becoming difficult to get jobs, industries
are now placing a high level of importance on certifications. By sharing my certificate on platforms

My parents are already paying loans I don't want to burden them with more loans. I want to become
capable enough to pay all the loans my parents have taken and doing this course will get me a step
closer to it.
