Antenna Playbook for Outdoor Small Cells

Small Cell Solutions

05/01/2016

T-Mobile Confidential 1
Introduction
 Main objective of the deck is to standardize a few antenna configurations for outdoor small cell
deployments to allow for scale, reduce cycle time and cost by:
– Ease of permitting/procurement
– Standard parts and install
– Meet coverage/capacity objectives

 Antenna models have been shortlisted to provide best RF performance at minimum weight and
appealing aesthetics to avoid pole replacement and improve attractiveness to cities and jurisdictions
since these entities play a critical role in outdoor Small Cell deployments.

 Antenna models with different form factors and usage requirements are included in this playbook in
order to provide different deployment options to the markets along with options for future capacity
expansion when required.
