Topic 1.a: Our Club
I am from the Technovations Club (IT
Club). In this club, we create many
stuff including Games made on
applications such as Scratch or Unity,
Animations made on softwares like
Adobe Animate or Pivot Animator, and
several other cool things. Our aim in
this club is to create a project which
will help other people regarding
anything related to the theme of the
particular year. This year’s theme was
“Good Health and Well-Being”, and
promotion of sport and other physical
activities.
This year, my fellow friends and I
together developed an app for runners
and cyclists.
Topic 1.b: Our
Project and Aim
We present to you Orbitus – A budding
fitness app which is designed for sport
enthusiasts like cyclists or joggers. We
are a group of five friends and
developers of this app, who truly
advocate the power and significance of
fitness. We also believe in the power
of community spirit in creating a
healthy and fit India. Our app allows
users to signup, login and join
communities with other people known
as groups. The members of these
groups can host events where people
can coordinate with other group
members to do cycling or jogging in
the area. Events are basically common
time organization to which two or
more than two people can come and
do their activities.
Topic 1.c: How we
created it?
This is a web application i.e. it runs on
your browser like Google Chrome. It
was created on HTML, CSS and
JavaScript on its front-end and with
Python on the back-end. The database
we used is SQLite3. We wanted to
create a native Android Application
like WhatsApp which can be
downloaded from the PlayStore, but
some of our developers weren’t
compatible with the language
requirements it had. So we shifted to
a “Progressive Web App” i.e. it runs
on the browser but give a total
Standalone Application feel. Our app is
still in developmental stage and there
is a lot more to do still now.
I feel that when it’s completed, the
runners and cyclists must use it as it
would help them create a community.

Topic 2.a: Shram-daan
Diwas Experience
The Shram Daan Diwas was a tribute to
the labourers of our country, and to
their hard work and endurance. It was
a delightful moment of experiencing
how the hard working Didis and
Bhaiyas clean our homes and schools.
We brought dirty cloth from our homes
and used it to clean the tables,
windows and lockers. Some Chemistry
savvy students suggested that acetone
can be used to clean the ink marks and
other dirt on the table. This all gave us
a true insight on how all these people
really work, it was as if I kept myself
into their shoes. We all did our jobs in
cleaning almost all of the classroom.
We also broomed and mopped the
floor and made the class afresh. It was
a nice experience overall.
Topic 2.b: SEWA Self-
Appraisal Form
My Name: Kushagra Srivastava
My Project: Orbitus – A Fitness App
My Commitment towards the Project: I
dedicated myself towards this project as a
front-end developer. I extracted the most
from my capabilities into this app.
It was a great learning experience
because I came to know many more things
about front-end development. I learnt
JavaScript for the same. I could delve right
into the project due to my creativity in the
designing section.
I initially felt that the project could not
have achieved its outcomes because we
at first weren’t sure about the project we
were going to do and were dicey about it.
The challenges I faced were mainly of
time management. Our aim was too
ambitious. Main challenge to overcome was
to create a balance between studies of
Grade 10th and this project.
