The Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Intellectual Property Management (RGNIIPM) is a Central Government Institute under the
Ministry of Commerce & Industry is engaged in conducting departmental & public Training programs relating to Intellectual Property
Rights (IPR’s) i.e. Patents, Designs, Trademarks, GI & Copyrights and International programs like BRICS Examiner training, WIPO-
India Training for Examiners, WIPO-India Summer School, IPC- EUI training, Training with JPO etc. RGNIIPM has been established at
Nagpur as a National Center of Excellence for training, management, education in the field of Intellectual Property Rights.

NEED FOR PROTECTION OF IPR:-

IPRs are considered as a barometer of R&D activities, encourages technology transfer, national / foreign direct investments & helps in
technological / industrial development. From last many years it was observed that, filing of IP applications in the country are not
increasing at higher rate despite significant contribution towards R&D by various Institutes, Scientist and R&D organizations, teachers,
student etc. Hence in order to implement National IP policy, it has been decided to upgrade IP skills of professors, scientist,
students/researchers, professionals, Industry officials etc. through in-depth training at RGNIIPM Nagpur.

Accordingly, you may apply to participate in the training or may depute officials from your organization to understand the filing

Patents (for inventions):-Patent is an exclusive right granted by the Government to the applicant for his disclosed invention of product
or process which should be new, non-obvious, useful and patentable. Patent offers technical solution to a technical problem.

Designs:-Protecting any shape, configuration, pattern, color and the creations of the appearance of industrial products.
Trade Marks:- Trademark is a visual symbol in the form of word, name, logo, label etc. as applied to an vendible article, with a view to
indicate origin of manufacture or service or vendor in that respect and enable customers to distinguish the product of one manufacturer
from the goods of the other.
Copyright: Copyright is a right given by the law to creators of literary, dramatic, musical and artistic works and producers of
cinematograph films and sound recordings. It is a bundle of rights including rights of reproduction, communication to the public,
adaptation and translation of the work. The exclusive and assignable legal right, given to the originator for a fixed number of years, to
print, publish, perform, film, or record literary, artistic, or musical material.
Geographical Indications: GI of Goods are defined as that aspect of industrial property which refer to the GI referring to a country or to
a place situated therein as being the country or place of origin of that product. Typically, such a name conveys an assurance of quality
and distinctiveness which is essentially attributable to the fact of its origin in that defined geographical locality, region or country.

· The dates, name of program, may be change/customized & combination of these programs can be done for 1 days, 2 days and 3 days.
Participants may choose any combination of above programs

DETAILS ABOUT FEE CONCESSIONS

· 50% fee concession on “training fee” for Students who are admitted or pursuing at least one year course during 2019-20. Students
from “Distance Learning or Online Courses” are not entitled to get “Students Concessions”. Participants seeking “Student concession”
in “training fees” shall submit Original Bonafide certificate from Institute/university OR self-attested copy of Identity card for the year
2019-20 from the respective Institute/university and should bring original at the time of training for verification.
This concession will not be applicable to participants who already availed fee concession as lady/bulk booking/startup.
· 50% fee concession on “training fee” for lady participants. They should submit copy of valid Identity card. This concession will not be
applicable to participants who already availed fee concession as student/bulk booking/startup.
· 50% fee concession on “training fee” for the participants who are owner or employees of start-up (valid Identify card issued by
startup and photocopy of Start-up certificate received from DIPP/DPIIT shall be provided). This concession will not be applicable to
participants who already availed fee concession as student/lady/bulk booking.
· 25% fee concession on “training fee” for any organization / Department nominating 5 or more participants for a single training
program. Copy of self-attested valid Identity card of organization or letter on letterhead for deputation from organization shall be
provided. This concession will not be applicable to participants who already availed fee concession as student/lady/startup.

copy of payment details & registration form (available in website) or application with payment shall be Send by post to RGNIIPM, Near
Air India, Hislop College Road, Civil Lines, Nagpur, Maharashtra, India – 440001.
RGNIIPM training Fee shall be paid through BHIM app / cash/ multicity cheque/ Demand draft. The payment through multicity
Cheque/Demand draft shall be prepared in favour of “Patent Information System, Nagpur” payable at Nagpur. For payment through
BHIM app please choose the VPA as RGNIIPM@centralbank , pay the required fee and provide the 12-digit RRN No. to the cash counter
to get the receipt.
