Nowadays, many people are focusing on practical learning rather than classroom learning.

In
many countries, students are advised to take a break after their high school studies and allow
them to do a work or travel to some destinations before they start their graduation classes. This
allow the students to gain more exposure to the world, and it will help them to find a better
career path. However, there are few drawbacks surrounding this. In this essay i will discuss both
the pros and cons of this activity, and i will support my views with suitable examples.

To begin with, when students complete their high school studies, they may take random subject
of specialisation in their graduation, and this decision may be related to several factors:
suggestions from friends or family members, job market in their country, interest towards a
subject, and so on. Many students regret about their choice after entering the college, and at
that point of time they cannot change their path. To avoid this, pupils can do work in some
companies to get some practical experience after their high school studies. This will add a lot of
value to their life, and they will be more confident about their future. There are many folks who
go for a long vacation after high school, this will help them to gain more knowledge about
different cultures and traditions. Moreover, it will refresh their minds and allow them to reckon
new ideas ,and this will have have a tremendous impact on their personality. For example, if
students travel to an economically backward country and live their for an year, they learn how to
live in a place with limited facilities, and their approach towards life will also change drastically.

Having said that, there are certain limitations for taking this decision, the value of time is very
high and travelling to another destinations requires a lot of money. Furthermore, their is a high
chance that students may lose interest for further studies. As an example, after joining a work, if
students get a good offer from the employer, then they may continue working there or if they like
the living style of some other country they may try to permanently reside there.

To conclude, taking a break after high school definitely requires a second thought: pupils have
to think from plethora of angles like financial point of view, future plans, and so on. But, there is
no doubt that taking a break after high school will definitely brings a lot of changes to the
students, and it will aid them in taking the right career decision.
