EXECUTIVE HOUSE KEEPER

Reporting to the Rooms Division Manager. according to efficient and flexible service consistent
with Swissotel Foshan Standards Policies & Procedures in order to maximize guest satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The main responsibilities and tasks of this position are as listed below, but not limited to these:

•To ensure cleanliness, maintenance and management of all guestrooms, functions, public
areas and back of house areas to the Housekeeping operational standards.

•To ensure effective operation of the Housekeeping Department in line with Housekeeping
Budget.

•Monitor guest feedback and follow through with departments accordingly.

• Establish an on job induction program for all Housekeeping personnel.

ASSISTANT EXECUTIVE HOUSE KEEPER


The Assistant Executive Housekeeper supervises and coordinates activities of room attendant,
house attendant, public area cleaners and floor supervisors. He / She assists in the managing
and directing of the day–to–day operations of all Housekeeping and laundry functions.

Participates in and enforces quality assurance for Housekeeping Department and department
cost control measures.

RESPONSIBILITIES

 Should have an eye for detail and the ability to effectively deal with guests, other
departments and housekeeping staff.
 Obtains list of vacant rooms to be cleaned immediately & list of prospective checkouts
or discharges in order to prepare work assignments.
 Experience with turn down service, special needs of VIP Guests, foreign dignitaries, etc.
is helpful.
 Assigns team members their duties, and inspects work for conformance to prescribed
standards of cleanliness.
 Prepares and distributes the Room assignment sheet and floor keys to room boys.
 Maintain clear and efficient communication and coordination with the Front Office and
other departments of the hotel.
 Schedules the cleaning of the room carpets, upholstery, and draperies as needed, along
with deep cleaning projects and window cleaning as necessary.
 Schedules cleaning for lobby area, public restrooms, telephone areas, hallways,
entrances, elevators.
 Schedules periodic major cleaning projects including carpet shampooing, cleaning of
walls and baseboards, cleaning of windows, elevator doors and tracks.
 Schedules cleaning of all meeting rooms after a completed function.
 Schedules deep cleaning of all meeting rooms on periodic basis including carpet
shampooing, cleaning of walls and baseboards, cleaning of windows, etc.

FLOOR HOUSE KEEPER

The Floor Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and the hygiene of the
hotel premises. They are in charge of a team of cleaners, room attendants and floor managers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

 Supervise the work of a team of room attendants or housekeeping assistants


 Informing reception when rooms are ready for re-letting, or there is some problem such as a
late departure, or two people seem to have occupied a room let to one person
 Informing maintenance of repairs or replacements
 Responsible for issuing cleaning materials to your staff, clean linen and guest suppliers (soap,
shampoo, etc.) for their rooms
 Be alert for safety and hygiene risks, and for security concerns

HOUSE KEEPER

We are looking for a professional Housekeeper able of attending to our facilities with integrity
and attention to detail.

The goal is to create a clean and orderly environment for our guests that will become a critical
factor in maintaining and strengthening our reputation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

 Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and polishing
 Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards
 Protect equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies
 Notify superiors on any damages, deficits and disturbances
 Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience
 Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace when appropriate
 Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related
practices
LAUNDRY MANAGER

A Laundry Manager is responsible for running laundry departments day to day operations and
also to deliver an excellent Guest experience while managing stock ordering and supplier
relationships.

Additional responsibilities include, up keeping training, performance evaluations, scheduling


and supervising the personnel within the department.

RESPONSIBILITIES

 Developing and putting into operation the current system and technical advancement in
the field of Laundry operations.
 Formulating washing formula for stained loads.
 Ensuring the washing of linen and uniform as per standard.
 Maintenance and upkeep of all laundry equipment.
 Coordinating with the Engineering Department about their routine maintenance of the
equipment.
 Preparing Annual Laundry Budget.
 Develop new methods for increasing laundry efficiency.
 Coordinate with the maintenance team for outstanding repairs of machinery.
 Overall controlling and supervision of the Department.
 Training and coordination with supporting Departments.
 Record and monitor laundry cost.
 Make reports and recommendations when required.
 Oversee the laundry equipment preventive maintenance program.

LAUNDRY STAFF

Responsible for providing a constant supply of clean linens for the entire hotel.

Laundry attendants also may be responsible for cleaning guests’ personal items if the hotel
offers a cleaning service.

For personal items, a laundry attendant must follow specific instructions for laundering and
drying.

RESPONSIBILITIES

 Sort all linens and treat stains


 Load all laundry into washer and add specified cleaning agents
 Take wet, clean items and dry as directed
 Sort and fold or hang clean dried items
 Maintain inventory of all cleaning supplies and communicate needs to general manager
 Maintaining all laundry equipment and inform facilities manager as to any maintenance
needs
 Perform additional laundry services when necessary
