1. To study the concept of thermal equilibrium between two identical
objects using Energy 2D Software.
2. To study the thermal equilibrium between two objects with different
specific heats using Energy 2D Software.
3. To study the thermal equilibrium between objects having different
temperatures for the verification of Zeroth law using Energy 2D
Software.
4. To study the application of First law of thermodynamics to thermal
systems using EES Software.
5. To find out the efficiency of heat engines, COP of heat pumps and
refrigerators using EES Software.
6. To find out the entropy for various engineering devices using EES
Software.
7. To find the absolute, gauge and vacuum pressure by measuring
atmospheric pressure with various pressure measuring instruments.
8. To verify the Bernoulli’s theorem by proving the total head at any point
along the flow is same i.e, the sum of datum head, pressure head and
velocity head is constant along the flow.
9. To characterize Laminar and Turbulent flows by fluid flow analogy
using Reynolds apparatus.
10. To determine the major losses in pipes with different diameters due to
the Darcy’s friction factor.
11. To determine the minor losses in pipes due to sudden expansion and
contraction in a pipe flow.
12. To study and understand the flow of fluid over 2D objects which is an
important aspect of mechanical and aerospace engineering.
