IX. Program Objectives

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE)

1. Prepare for the planning, designing, constructing, managing and maintaining of (a) railways, roads, and bridges; (b) dams’ reservoirs and hydraulic structures and systems;
(c) water and wastewater disposal; (d) buildings and foundations; and (e) other types of civil works used by man;
2. Take cognizance of their environment;
3. Gain knowledge of their professional responsibilities;
4. Gain knowledge on human, financial, physical, and resource managements;
5. Utilize their knowledge of arts, sciences, and engineering concepts;
6. Prepare for the graduate tasks, researches, and extension services;
7. Discharge all the duties and responsibilities inherent to SSU Alumni Association

X. Course Description

This course is designed to examine and analyze the fundamental principles and theories of classical physics. It offers laboratory experiments that would explicitly provide the
students the application and scientific observation that further substantiate the theories discussed in their lectures.

1. Pay attention with the specific learning outcomes for every topic and the student must reply the instructor without hesitations when asked.
2. Be courteous. Raise your hand for permission to speak and for permission to leave your seat. Listen and react considerately to the answers and opinions of others.
3. The student is required to create a University Google Account for blended classroom learning.
4. In connection with the aforementioned statement, the student must be responsible to regularly visit their Google Classroom Account to be updated with the resources/lectures
uploaded. Moreover, they are expected to study the uploaded resource/lecture.
5. Assignments due should be respected, that is writing anything during submission is prohibited whether it’s for the subject at hand or for the other subjects.
6. Use yellow paper for seat works and quizzes, short bond paper for assignments, college prescribed test booklet on major examinations.
7. In case of absences, some of the valid excuse are; illness (with medical certificate or a letter from a guardian), special requests (with letters etc.). However, the student must
be willing to compensate extra time that should have been allotted for learning the different outcomes needed.
8. Receiving or sending cell phone calls or text messages in the classroom especially during examinations is prohibited. Please turn them off, except in emergency cases and with
the instructor’s permission.
