CHAPTER V

CONCLUSIONS AND SUGGESTIONS

A. Conclusion

Based on the discussion in chapter IV by the author, conclusions can be

drawn:

1. Based on the statement with the highest score regarding

Compensation, already has the availability of transportation modes that

are sufficient enough to support the delivery process activities.

2. Based on the statement with the highest score regarding Work

Dicipline, the introductors are thorough and responsible and have good

cooperation with their colleagues if they experience problems or

obstacles.

3. Based on the statement with the highest score regarding employee

performance, the company still insufficiency understanding of the

operation procedure standard which should be able to improve

employee performance results in delivery activities.

4. Based on the results of the discussion, the calculation of multiple

regression tests when compensation and work discipline together

increase, employee performance also increases. The results of the T test

obtained indicate that both compensation variables and work dicipline

variables partially have a significant and positive influence on employee

performance at Post office (PERSERO) Depok 16400. Meanwhile, the

results of the F test obtained indicate the influence together

(simultaneously) between all independent variables (Compensation and

work dicipline) to dependents (Employee Performance). Based on the

results of the correlation analysis, there is a positive and strong influence

of 62% and the remaining 38% is influenced by other factors.

B. Suggestions

1. Based on the statement with the lowest score regarding Compensation, the

company should change the wage system and the facility system to

improve the performance of the delivery.

2. Based on the lowest score statement on work discipline, companies should

often evaluate and need training in human resources to handle when

experiencing difficulties in finding the destination address and the ticket

window clerk needs to notify customers to clearly state their address and

telephone number so that the shipment arrives on time.

3. Based on the statement with the lowest score regarding employee

performance, we recommend that you need to increase coordination again

in handling customer complaints where the goods to be sent have not

arrived, or the goods are damaged, the goods are lacking.

4. Based on the conclusions and suggestions above, in my opinion, the

company should change the wage system and provide facilities for

introductions because it does not guarantee their performance is better

and improves. The wage system must be based on the performance of each

introduction and working hours not based on office hours considering the

demands of the customer and the increasingly tight competition in the

courier business in Indonesia. The wage system must be made immediately

based on the results of individual work or the results of the letters that

were successfully delivered on the working day without limited working

hours. The more they deliver letters and succeed, the higher the salary

earned then if this is applied the performance will look to increase. This is

done by competitors in courier services in Indonesia.
