PROCEDURES

Review the class by asking the following questions:


A. Reviewing previous lesson or presenting the new lesson a.) What is a synonym?

Ask the class the following essential questions/focus questions:


a.) What are homophones, (perfect)homonyms, & homographs (the three

b.) Can I compare/contrast the “H words” to identify, describe & classify

Activity 1: Loop a word!


Let the class be divided into three groups.
C. Presentation of the lesson
Each group will receive a word puzzle.
They have to guess the word based on the definition given by encircling the
word in the puzzle.
Each group must have a representative to present their output
After the activity, process each group’s answers
Activity 2: Watch it Out!
Ask the class to watch the video clip attentively.

Process student’s feedback about the video.


Ask the following questions:
1. What is the video all about?
2. Based on the video, how can you define homonyms?

Divide the class into two big groups.


Let them play the classroom version of Family Feud Game.
Present the mechanics of the game with the class.
The group who has most number of points wins.

2. Perfect homonyms are words with the same sound and spelling but
different meaning.
