out and going to different cafes to try it out and test the products. Taking this fact into

consideration, we believe that

II. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

III. THE BUSINESS PROPONENTS:

The proponents of the business are seven members of the group that can

be considered as student entrepreneurs. Each of them has something to

contribute and they can be divided based on their capabilities, skills, and

interests. The proponents believe that dividing them and giving them the work

they want can make the business more successful because each member should

have passion in what they do.

The resource mobilizers and financial backers would be the investors

who are willing to invest the business. The seven proponents of the business can

act as the resource mobilizers and financial backers because they will be the one

who will share for the capital of the business.

Some of the members of the group will be given the task of being technology

providers and applicators. They are the one who will think of the technologies

that the business needs. They will also the one who will analyze if the budget is

enough to make use of technologies and if there is a sufficient fund that they

can use to pay for it. Technologies such as the new invented machines and

equipments that can help in the production of the products are very important,

and also, the use of technology when it comes to disseminating information

about the product. The technology providers and applicators will also be in

charge with the development when it comes to selling the products like

developing an application that can be used by the customers to order some

products.

For the governance and top management, the leader and the assistant leader of

the group can handle it since it is all about managing. These leaders will lead
their members so they can follow. But having leaders doesn’t mean that other

members can’t participate because as the team in the business, the suggestions

and approval of each individual is very important. In that part, they will be able

to formulate different ideas and concept that can improve the business.

The last one is the operating and support team that includes all the

members. Other members can be added to the operation team and will be the

one who will make the main product which is the sponge cake. There are also

members who will represent as the advertisers of the business and of course

those who have skills when it comes to sales talk should be chosen. Others can

be the one who will sell the products or the ones who will handle money like

being the cashier in the business.

IV. The Target Customers and The Main Value Proposition to the Customer

Primera Café is targeting three primary groups residing the direct marketing

area. These individuals prefer unique venues and avoid the big chains and franchises.

They prefer their local neighborhood and will support local businesses if the business

warrants. Residents – lifestyle reflects youth, mobility, and growing consumer clout,

love to travel and exercise; rely heavily on cell phones, PCs and the internet to stay

connected. Employees – working professionals, well-educated and experienced,

active physically and financially, displays interest in homes/communities. Students –

looks for new, convenient and especially instagrammable place to visit.

Primera Café will focus its marketing activities on reaching the students from

DVOREF, residents in the village, people working in offices located close to the café

and sophisticated teenagers. Primera Café will cater people who want to get a rest in a
relaxing and homey environment. Such customers may vary in age, although our

location is close to the church and school means that most of our clientele will be

church goers and students. These are the customer groups that are most likely to avail

our offer. Primera Café will offer unique experience for a café by offering a relaxing

and homey yet sophisticated café and offer a sense of refinement and peace in

otherwise hectic and fast-paced world. While other café caters to convenience with

loud music venues late into the night, the Primera Café will stand apart from its

competitors with its quiet yet soothing ambience, capturing a truly unique (and much

needed) market niche.

Furthermore, a lot of students consider café to be a convenient studying or

meeting location, where they can read or meet with peers. For us, this will provide a

unique possibility for building a loyal clientele base.

The major reason for the customers to return a specific café is a great and

quick service and a pleasant atmosphere. Primera Café will price its product offerings

competitively. We strongly believe that giving customer satisfaction with great

service in a nice setting will help us build a strong base of loyal clientele.

V. The market

The Tacloban City area is booming at this moment, overall business growth

over the past seven years has averaged approximately (9.5%) and is expected to

continue for at least the next three years. This constitutes an attractive market for

Primera Café.
Business Competing Enterprise

Currently Primera Café has 2 major competitors near the area of Brgy. 96

Calanipawan Tacloban City. These are Coffee & Common Sense and Mama Milktea.

Each of these cafés targets the same clients as Primera Café and each has a fine

reputation for customer satisfaction. Our primary ways to compete are through low

cost goods with a fine quality, better and efficient service, and our marketing strategy

that includes several offers (e.g. free wifi, opens 24 hours, and lounge area for

students and groups). This is an excellent opportunity to gain market share and an
