A Detailed Lesson Plan

In English 4
(Integrating Language and Reading Using the
Four-pronged Approach)

I. Objectives
Given a story as a springboard, the grade four pupils should be able to:
Language:
1. Distinguish singular from plural nouns.
2. Determine the correct form of a verb to be used.
3. Identify and correct errors based on subject-verb agreement rules.
4. Construct grammatically correct sentences observing subject-verb agreement rules.

Reading-Writing Connection and Values Integration

Good morning grade 4! Good morning, sir!


I have here pictures of animals. I want you to
pick your favorite animal and tell me
something about it. If none of these is your
favorite, tell it and describe it also. Yes, sir.

Today, we are going to read the story “The


Horse and The Snail”. But before that, let us
first learn words from the story.
