Universal Design for Learning (UDL): The engagement for the lesson is to welcoming technology to the
students that doesn’t introduce internet to them. Having this engagement lets them focus on the hands on
for this lesson and expanding their mind to ITech learning and also opening up their creativity when it
comes to PowerPoint. Expression for the PowerPoint lesson as started before allows them to express their
creativity when they are making the slides. From the different pictures and colors that they can add into to
make it their own. Representation, the teacher can do a step by step with the support with a projector for
the students can see what they are doing. This is a benefit for young students as most for visual learners.
Especially, for the something that may seem hard to them at first. After a while, the students would be
able to work on the PowerPoint with limited or no help from the teacher and become comfortable with
using computers at both school and home encase they have an assignment that has to deal with a certain
amount of technology.

Lesson idea implementation: The teacher will show the students a basic PowerPoint with the different
transitions other creations that can out inside of it. The teacher would then take step by step method on
creating a PowerPoint. The creation of a PowerPoint will take a day or two for the full understanding of the
different location of the tabs. The students learning will be assessed by creating a PowerPoint with the
teacher going step by step from getting image from kid friendly safe to placing it into the slides they are using.
After that, the teacher can demonstrate on a big screen using their own computer how to put the images into
the slides as well as changing the color on the background and changing the font size as well. The final
product of creating a PowerPoint is for the students get that introduction on making something that can
benefit them when it comes to something educational and fun at the same time. How to extend the student
learning when it comes to creating a PowerPoint is to allow them to create one with the instructions that the
teacher will them. Allowing the students to let them be on their own without the help of any adult will build
that knowledge as well confidence within them about this lesson. I would conclude the lesson by letting the
students to showing the colors that they have picked out and the image that they have used for their
PowerPoint and get more in depth about anything other item that can that certain color. I will provide

feedback by explaining if they missed a step in something that they easily be prevented from happening
again.

Reflective Practice: The PowerPoint lesson would have a good impact on the students because they could
use this lesson at home or at school. They could use the lesson like this into the real world. Having these
type of lessons for the student at a young age and allowing the students to continue on with it up to 5th
grade will allow them into become comfortable using basic technology for possible everyday life. What
could be done to further the students thinking for technology is simply introducing them to the Microsoft
Office. From Words to Spreadsheet we can teach the students the basic of Microsoft as well as Google Doc
the older then became into school.
