The class will guess who or what will be the name of each photo. b. Analysis Where can we find those places? What practices of Indian people do you know? How are these similar to the practices in the Philippines? c. Abstraction India - World's 2nd most populous country next to China. The Indian Constitution recognizes 22 official languages, but Hindi is the most widely used language of the 30% of the population. Early settlers called their land“Bharat Varsha” or “Bharat”. Kalidasa - leading lyricist famous for a large number of poems of sentiment; India's foremost Sanskrit dramatist and poet. 2. Jayadeva - author of the Gitagovinda (love-making of Krishna) 3. Rabindranath Tagore - Nobel Prize for Literature in 1913 Famous Epics 1. Ramayana - written by Maharshi Valmiki, known as Adi Kabe, the first poet 2. Mahabharata - the longest epic in the world; composed by Vyasa d. Application: “It’s More Fun in India” Procedure: The class will be divided into 3 groups. Each group will pick one among trailer, vlog or advertisement. Each group should make a presentation according to what they have picked, promoting India. They will be given 10 minutes to prepare and 3 minutes to perform. They will be graded according to a rubric. IV.
