Memory Power
Store the current option code setting. Turn the wireless remote controller on/off.

Call Send
Retrieve the stored option code setting. Transmit the option code to indoor unit.

Mode
Data up/down
Change the main mode.
Change the digit value.
This key is only available in “Edit” mode.
Sp2
Change the sub mode in main mode.
4way keys
Select the desired digit to modify.
This key is only available in “Edit” mode. Page up/down
Change the option code page.
This key is only available in “Set” mode.
Enter
No use.
Edit / Set mode selection
- “Edit” mode : Change the digit value.
All FF - “Set” mode : Set the digit value.
Initialize all the option digits to FF.
All 00
Set Data Initialize all the option digits to 00.
No use.

Main/Sub mode definition

• If you want to change the main mode, press the “Mode” key.
• If you want to change the sub mode in a applied main mode, press “Sp2” key.

• Indoor models without address and option switches can use all functions except “Extension-Add” mode.
• Indoor models with address and option switched can use only “Extension-Add” mode.

What is the basic option code ?
• The basic option code means the factory setting option code of indoor units.
• In case of new indoor units without the address and option switches, the first digit of the option code is fixed to “1”.

How to set the basic option code of new models
1. Press the “Mode” key to change to the “Basic” option mode.
2. Press the “Edit/Set” key to change the option code.
▶ The first digit of the option code is fixed to “1” and the second starts blinking.

3. Press the ‘+’ or ‘-’ key to change the specific digit of the option code.
4. Press the direction(←,→,↑,↓) keys to select another digit. 1
▶ The selected digit starts blinking.

5. Complete setting the option code by repeating Steps 3 and 4. 5

6. Press the “Edit/Set” key to confirm the option code. 3 2


7. Press the “Send” key two times toward the indoor unit to set the option code.

How to set the basic option code of existing models
1. Press the “Mode” key to change to the extension mode.
2. Press the “Sp2” key to change to the “Add” mode.
3. Press the “Edit/Set” key to change the option code.

• The first option code is fixed to “2”.

How to set the installation option code
1. Press the “Mode” key to change to the “Install” option mode.
2. Press the “Edit/Set” key to change the installation option code.

How to set the Main/RMC address
1. Press the “Mode” key to change to the “Address” option mode.
2. Press the “Sp2” key to select the sub mode. (Main/RMC/Main+RMC)
3. Press the “Edit/Set” key to change the address.
▶ The first digit starts blinking.

4. Press the ‘+’ or ‘-’ key to change the address. 1


5. Press the direction(←,→,↑,↓) keys to select another digit.

“Memory” function (Option code memory)
1. Complete setting the basic or installation option code in each mode.
▶ The “Memory” function is available only in “Basic” and “Install” option code
mode.
2. Press the “M” key to enter the “Memory” mode.
▶ The memory number starts blinking.

3. Press the ‘+’ or ‘-’ key to change the desired memory number.
▶ The maximum number of memories is 16. (0~F)

4. Press the “Edit/Set” key to save the option setting to the memory location.

“Call” function (Option code retrieval)
1. Press the “Mode” key to select the basic or installation option mode.
2. Press the “Call” key to enter the “Call” mode.
▶ The retrieval number starts blinking.

3. Press the ‘+’ or ‘-’ key to change the retrieval number.


▶ The retrieval number can be changed to up to 16. (0~F)

4. Press the “Edit/Set” key to retrieve the stored option code. 1
