Irrationally withdrew from the statute
The Philippines withdrawal from the rome statute will not only diminish but will abolish the
filipino peoples protection under the international law.

that are mostly concerned to the international community; in fact these are

statute, there is a need for the right to effective remedies against these international
crimes. And this right to effective remedies is provided in various human rights
instruments such as Article 2 par 3 of the international covenant of civil and political
rights which we are a state party to.

The rome statute gives criminal liability to both the state forces or armed groups.
It is also worth emphasizing that the Universal declaration of human rights which is customary
international law tasks all organs of the society to promote and protect human rights.
The pcicc has consistently campaigned for universal justice against impunity it has advocated
for and worked with the Philippine govt for the ratification of the rome statute for the icc it is
therefore invested together with the individual petitioners in ensuring that the protection
afforded to everyone in the Philippines especially its citizens against the gravest crimes will not
be whimsically, arbitrarily, and capriciously taken away by a unilateral executive act.
