1. Introduction
The following training is intended to reserve as a resource for District safety volunteer, CBOs
and LNGOs. In the process of engaging and contributing in-kindly or in cash to the
implementation of the district safety plan, The purpose is to serve a step by step resource a set
of tools for partners throughout the community contribution process. to the implementation of
the dynamic, flexible, organic and well understandable District safety plan that addresses the
safety and security needs of the district as a whole.
Since, the DSP stands for the voices of safety and security issues, this training is to build the
capacity of the committee to have the capability to engage the community, government, CBOs
and funded agencies to contribute their resources to the implantation of the DSP so that they
can be ideal safe district.
It results a sense of ownership and encourages the local community to mobilize themselves for the
goodness of their entire community.

Knowledge
Time
Labor
Before applying or requesting any form of contribution, the issue first needs to be addressed and
put in a form which can easily be understood. The issue has to be relevant to the intended context
and exists on the ground.
- before requesting any form of contribution, very effective communication strategy which the target
person or community can easily understand. Come up the most easy channel by which the
communication strategy can go through.
People who are signed for the collection of the contributions, mobilizing other agencies should
be trust worthy, committed, delegated and people with higher profile. For the other party,
targeted people should be the right people for the right contribution.
Sustainability
- Collecting contribution is not an easy task. It needs high commitment and delegation. People
who are volunteering for this task should have the capability to handle all obstacles.
