LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION
I am very pleased to recommend Mr. Abid Hussain for Postgraduate Program in
Biomedical Engineering at University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. I am an
Associate Professor at Department of Biomedical Engineering and Technology. I came to know
Mr. Abid when I was his Instructor. During this program, I taught him 4 courses (Human
Physiology and Anatomy-II, Electromechanical Technology, Biomechanics and Biomedical
Imaging Techniques). He scored excellent grades in these subjects. I have been a head advisor for
his Final Semester Industrial Training. Mr. Abid Hussain distinguished himself by submitting
well-managed and interesting reports. In the period of four years that I have known him, I am very
impressed with his dedication to any endeavor he has been involved with. I would rank him in the
top 5% of students that I have taught in the past four years in respect of his academic and
intellectual ability.
He demonstrated his oral articulateness in the discussion sections that were an integral part
of final year industrial training in which he worked in the area of nuclear medicine and some other
equipment related to biomedical engineering. He always explained his views very concisely and
gave supporting arguments that were both clear and persuasive. At a personal level, he is a well-
disciplined, industrious student with a pleasant personality.
Mr. Abid Hussain has recently discussed with me, his intention of pursuing a postgraduate
degree from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. He is unquestionably an
exceptional candidate for this program and possesses all the skills required to pursue a challenging
postgraduate degree. It is important and necessary that he studies abroad to enlarge his scope of
knowledge.
