Course Long Plan Edit

Brief Description of Course

The Ap European history course covers thye modern period from approximately 1450 to the modern era. It
traces themes in political, diplomatic, economic intellectual, social and cultural history.

This course is divided into 4 quarters. Each quarter is subdivided into 4 units. Each of these units is further
subdivided into chapters. Each of the units is comprised of approximately 3-4 chapters in our text book. I
use as much test material as possible from previously released AP European History Tests. These include
multiple choice questions, essays and dbq’s. An exam is given following every chapter covered. It consists of
50 multiple choice questions and an essay. Students write a DBQ for every chapter covered. Therefore, in
each quarter a student writes at least 5 DBQ’s and 4 essays. Following the AP exam students are given the
opportunity to exam some aspect of the class in greater detail. This takes the form of an oral presentation
with some sort of visual required.
