Dear Ruckshan,
HWC Hydraulics & Equipment are pleased to submit this budget estimate for the supply and installation of tubing to
accommodate the new loading arms.
1. Specification
The specification has not been finalized so some assumptions have been made to allow a budget estimate to
be compiled.
➢ Five loading arms to be installed over a thirty-meter length of the jetty.
➢ One HPU to be mounted within 6 meters of the first arm.
➢ There are twelve ¾” tubes from the HPU outlet reticulated along the thirty-meter header.
➢ HPU outlets to have twelve lockable isolation valves fitted.
➢ The twelve tubes will have tee pieces installed at each of the first four loading arms.
➢ At each tee in point the tube will be run to each HCU unit mounted at each loading arm using ¾” tube.
Three meters allowance from header to HCU
➢ HCU inlets to have twelve lockable isolation valves fitted.
➢ Tube clamping method as follows: 316SS parallel flange channel to be chemically anchored to concrete
flooring and set up on 12mm 316SS anchor bolts every two meters (grouting by others). 316SS cable
tray will be bolted to these channels. Six single ¾” clamps double stacked will be positioned along
316SS unistrut that will be bolted inside the cable tray every 1.2 meters. Covers to be fitted to cable
tray.
➢ Flush tubing to NAS6 or equivalent
➢ Pressure test tubing to 1.5 x MAWP of system and log with NATA traceable gauges/transducers.
2. Scope of Work
The scope of work needs to happen to ensure both existing arms and newly installed arms can be operational
between shipping times. The planning and execution need to consider both demolition and new installation in
very tight time frames.
2.1 Travel to site and carry out visual inspection. Select new HPU location and conduct measurements
and general audit. Allow 2 days for Senior Technician and Project Engineer.
Site Work #2 – New HPU Installation
2.2 Remove tubes from existing HPU and connect to new HPU via temporary hoses.
2.3 Commission new HPU.
