Internship Training Program of the University

The University of Luzon stands as an imposing landmark at the very heart

of Dagupan City, recognized as one of the major economic, political and academic

centers of Northern Luzon. UL recognizes and appreciates ist vital role and duty

as well as the right and privilege it has gained from the people in this part of the

country. Who entrust the education of their children to its portals?

College of Business Administration as part of the first and autonomous

educational institution in Region I and a level IV accredited Program recognized

by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on

Accreditation (PACUCOA) or program which is highly respected as very high

academic program in the Philippines and with prestige and authority comparable

to similar programs in excellent foreign universities: defines internship or On-

the-job training as a structured educational work experience in a student’s

career field or interest. The OJT or internship experience provides the student

with an opportunity to apply their academic knowledge in a hands-on, real world

setting and allows the student to explore a specific career field that they are

interested in pursuing. All enrolled students are encouraging do seek OJT or

internship opportunities and participate in any internship experiences during

their college career. The experience, professional contacts, and references gained

help to prepare students for entering the world or work after graduation.

UL CBA Internship and O-the-Job training standards or policy, internship

must comply with the following Admission Requirements:


There should be a Memorandum of Agreement and Guideline specifically

outlining the role and responsibilities of all concerned parties, training plan,

learning objectives and method of evaluation between the school and the partner

Institution, company and office.

The student must also secure an insurance policy stating clearly the name,

location and duration of the internship, to ensure that the student will be covered

throughout the entire period of the internship or OJT. The student or trainee

should admit to the partner Institutions, company or office a copy of the waiver

of consent duly signed by his or her parents, guardian or spouse, pledge of good

conduct, bio-data and course syllabus. UL CBA Internship and on-the –Job

training guidelines upon development. The student or trainee should admit a

letter of Endorsement form the school’s authorized personnel confirming that he

or she is indeed qualified to complete the on-the-job training program. The

student intern has passed the Higher Education Institution’s (HEI) qualifications

form internship program and taken all his or her major subjects before taking

the internship subject to the requirement of the reputable Host Establishment.

The student must submit a medical certificate that he or she is in good health

and emotionally fit. The medical certificate shall be based on a physical and

psychological examination conducted, or certified by Department of Health

(DOH) accredited clinics and hospitals. The student or trainee is expected to

submit reports and requirements on time. The student or trainee should observe

punctuality and attendance e in reporting to his or her assigned training area.

He or she should accomplish the attendance recording sheet noted by the


training supervisor. The student or trainee should wear the appropriate dress

code.
