ABSTRACT

In recent years, traffic congestion become most challenging and complicated issues
inmany cities around the world causing various problems like fuel wastage, increased
stress levels, delayed deliveries and monetary losses. Therefore, it is urgent to make an
accurate prediction of traffic jams to minimize these losses. This paper proposes a
traffic congestion prediction framework using pre-calculated density from lane
information table based on previous vehicles data. In this framework, we predicted
traffic congestion of a situation according to previous vehicle’s information table, where
vehicle’s information table contains the factors of driver and vehicles of road for a
specific area. Besides, for this framework, we consider all vehicles of a highway as
individual variables, and we prepare vehicles information table for vehicle. Our work can
be divided into two parts: (1) we analysis the combination of the factors for vehicles (2)
then apply those calculated values to this framework and make the prediction based on
it.
