Influenza or we called flu is a type of germ (virus) that you breathe in.
Influenza is infectious respiratory disease caused by influenza viruses, such as
influenza viruses type A, type B, and type C. (Brown, 2018) Types A and B
influenza are the common forms of thisi infection, routinely causing seasonal
outbreaks, and type C is usually only caused by mild respiratory infections. Wild
birds are the natural hosts for a type A virus and for this type also called avian flu
or bird flu. Influenza B is highly contagious and can have dangerous effect on
your health because influenza virus typeB can cause seasonal outbreaks and can
be transferred throughout of the year. For type C, this type is the mildest version
of the flu so your symptoms wont be as damaging. (Brown, 2018)
People who are sick with influenza or flu often fell all of these symptoms,
such as fever, cough, diarrhea, respiratory difficulties, headache, muscle aches,
malaise, and sore throat. Malaise is general feeling of being ill and uncomfortable
feeling. (Brown, 2018)
After we know the all of these symptoms, maybe we thinks about how to
treat the flu and how to prevention the flu. The first thing I would like to inform
you about the flu treatment. For flu treatment, there’s two ways to treatment the
flu, there is flu vaccine as pharmacology and non pharmacology treatment. Firstly
I want to tell you about flu vaccine. Flu vaccine is vaccine to against some types
of flu viruses. Flu vaccine has functions, that is to minimize the spread of the
influenza’s viruses. Flu vaccine has two types, that is trivalent vaccine and
quadrivalent vaccine. Trivalent vaccine used to protects against three different flu
viruses, such as H1N1 and Massachusetts or Brisbane. (Willey, 2013) Trivalent
vaccine is predicted to affect strongly in a given year. And then, there is
quadrivalent vaccine. The quadrivalent vaccine has the same benefits like trivalent
vaccine. The quadrivalent is the trivalent vaccine with the added bonus of
covering both B-strains. (Willey, 2013) The quadrivalent vaccine have detected in
United States for past 10 years. After we know about flu vaccine as pharmacology
treatment, we should know about non pharmacology treatment to reduce the
chemical medicine for our health. (Willey, 2013) When we get flu infections, we
should rest as much as possible, drink plenty of liquids like mineral water, and
avoid touching eyes, nose, or mouth to avoid spreads the influenza’s virus.
(Willey, 2013)
After we know about treatment of flu virus, we should know how to
prevent the flu viruses. We can prevent the flu viruses by washing hands often and
well, avoid being near people who are sick, eat healthy foods, and keep good
control of medical problems. (Willey, 2013)
So I can conclude that flu is the one of infectious respiratory disease
caused by influenza virus. When we exposed influenza viruses, we can do
treatment for flu viruses such as flu vaccine and non pharmacology treatment. If
we has exposed by influenza virus but we don’t want to exposed that again, we
should do prevention of the influenza virus, such as washing hands, drink plenty
of liquids, avoid to touching eyes, nose, or mouth to avoid spreads the influenza’s
virus.
The end of presentation:
Thanks for your attentions, any questions?
