INDICATE

Cooperation agreement

Considering that

 INDICATE (International Network for a Digital Cultural Heritage e-Infrastructure) is a project granted by
the European Commission under the FP7-Capacities Programme (www.indicate-project.eu).
 The project aims to establish a network of common interest made up of experts and researchers in the
field of e-infrastructures and digital cultural heritage at Euro Mediterranean level.
 Through the network, the participants can share experience, promote standards and guidelines, seek
harmonization of best practice and policies.
 INDICATE is coordinated by the Central Institute for the Union Catalogue of the Italian Libraries which
belongs to the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities (ICCU) and gathers 10 partners from 8
countries: Egypt, France, Greece, Italy, Jordan, Spain, Slovenia, Turkey.
 Working Groups have been established at national level by the INDICATE partners. The activities carried
out by the working groups include:
- to explore, analyze, discuss and share expertise on the topics addressed by the project, namely
preservation, virtual exhibitions, GIS and their connections with the e-infrastructures
- to discuss, to review and to contribute to the project deliverables (report, studies and publications)
- to suggest new ideas that can improve the outcomes of the working group goals
- to participate in surveys, validation and testing activities
- to illustrate relevant examples of good practice in the topics analyzed
- to participate in awareness and training activities
- to participate to the dissemination of the working groups activities, including their results in the
presentations delivered in the occasion of workshops, seminars, conferences and other events at
national and European level
- to contribute to the promotion of the outcomes of the INDICATE project also beyond the working
group.
