What kind of books do you like? There are different kinds of books for your reading pleasure.
There is a type of book that appeals to a reader. Most adults like science fiction, personal adventures
and historical novels. Children like fiction and non-fiction books. Those who like non-fiction choose
books about animals, sports and hobbies. Those who like fiction choose fairy tales, legends and
romances. Most children like legends. Legends are stories passed down from generation to generation.
Some legends may or may not be true. Some of our famous legends are about Lam-ang, Silang and
Sayen, Datu Sumakwel and Maria Makiling. Because legends are handed down through generations,
they began many years ago. Many people like non-fiction books. Non-fiction books are about things and
events that really happened.
