STEPPING STONES
CREATING A PATH FOR OUR FUTURE
The KEY component to reach each subject group is building a relationship. Each group has had
their share of past “community” groups that have come to “help”. Our effort is long term, in
reality, our effort will forge lifetime relationships. Trust is the foundation to any relationship.
We must prove to each group, by our actions, that they can trust us.
As our relationship strengthens, we will lead each group to the next level of accountability.
First Level - OUTREACH :Introduction of our goals. Building trust every time we meet.

Second Level - MOTIVATION : Trust will open doors and relationships will share a vision.

Third Level - PARTICIPATE : Relationships will strengthen / seeds of accountability will be laid.

Forth Level - STAKEHOLDER : Are leaders born or are they made? We’ll never know.

Community:
1. Create mentorship programs, or tap into community resources.
2. Identity community resources to partner with: Businesses, organizations, and mentorship programs that expose children to

3. Partner with local colleges, Universities, and Technical schools. Allow auditing of classes with possible college credits.

Teachers:
Remind teachers that they are the student‟s heroes.
Facilitate communication between them and the parents.
Role modeling

In my opinion the goal set for “Teachers” will get

accomplished as a by product of Parent / Student /
Community Goals. A distinction is not needed.
