Center for the Application of Behavioral Sciences (2019). Youth Intake to Discharge Operating Model: An Assessment to
Build Capacity. Report prepared for J. Erfling, CEO, Covenant House Missouri, St. Louis, MO.
The Center for the Application of Behavioral Sciences (CABS) was contacted to do an assessment for a local non-profit
youth homeless shelter. Assessment methods included literature reviews, document analyses, benchmarking, interviews,
and surveys. Primary deliverables included a report of the findings, a presentation at the organization for the top
management, and several recommendations to improve the operating models and make the organization more client-
focused. Management activities included managing the six doctoral students within the CABS team and working with a co-
manager.
Pediatric Residency Admissions Bias Training 9/29/2017

A training over interview bias was presented to pediatricians who are admitting medical students to residency positions.
Topics included implicit bias, cognitive biases, and cultural biases.
