Specific Objectives:  To write sentences by using ought to,


might, have got to, would, had better
 To use correctly the present continuous
using affirmative, negative and questions
(Yes/No and Wh-Questions) structures. Content:
 To write complete sentences using present  Present Continuous (+, -, ? WH-Questions)
continuous.  Introducing Preference using Modals
 To identify how to use ought to, might, Verbs. Use of ought to, might, have got to,
have got to, would, had better in complete would, had better
sentences.

Introducing the Present Continuous


The present continuous (also called present progressive) is a verb tense which is used
to show that an ongoing action is happening now, either at the moment of speech or
now in a larger sense. The present continuous can also be used to show that an action
is going to take place in the near future.

They are Auxiliary verbs that provide additional and specific meaning to
the main verb of the sentence.
