MINI - PROJECT TIMELINE Jan-2020 to May 2020

PROJECT GUIDE DETAILS Dr. Nagaraja J

FIELD OF PROJECT Embedded Systems, Web Interface, Cloud

ABSTRACT We intend to use Arduino microcontroller to dynamically control the speed of an
electric fan. A temperature sensor is used to increase or decrease the fan’s speed as
per the rise or drop in surrounding temperature. Temperature and fan speed are
displayed in LCD panel

PROJECT STATEMENT To build a dynamic fan controller system that changes speed of an electric fan
based on surrounding temperature
MODE OF CARRYING OUT We expect to use the following components in the project:
THE PROJECT 1. Arduino UNO Board
(Give details such as Lab/ 2. LM35 Temperature Sensor
/Innovation Lab details.) 3. 2N2222 Transistor
4. 16*2 LCD Display
5. 12V DC Fan
6. 1N4007 Diode
7. 1K Resistor – 2
8. 10uF Electrolytic Capacitor
9. LED
10. 12 Volt Battery/ Adapter
The LM35 sensor will sense the temperature, which will trigger the Arduino
microcontroller to increase or decrease fan speed based on programmed sets of
values for temperature. The LCD display will show temperature and the fan speed
for easy user-interaction
INTENDED BENEFICIARIES The intended beneficiaries are commercial furnaces, heat-exchangers, incubators,
OF THE PROJECT animal farms, mobile snowmelters
(industrial/commercial/R&
D/social)
