Vocabulary Drills
o The class will answer the vocabulary drill through the use of the
jumbled letters as a hint for them to determine the word that
corresponds to the meaning beside it, as shown in the slides that will
be flashed. The class will write their answers on their notebook.

HOW: The students will answer the question “In today’s session, what was least clear to
you?” The students will then write their answer on a piece of paper.

ACTIVITY 1: Answer the following questions in a complete sentence.
1. Is Maria a typical city woman? Illustrate her based on what Baldo had seen from their
first meeting to their arrival at home.
2. What could be the father’s motive for instructing Baldo to take the Waig Road
instead of the Camino?
3. What does the choice of the road mean in the story?
4. Did Maria meet the father’s expectations? How did Leon help to do so?
5. Who was your favourite character in the story? Why?
