AFFIDAVIT

I, MELCHOR GAMAYOT CAINGLET, Filipino, of legal age, widow and a resident of

Cansibao, Valencia, Bohol, Philippines, after having been duly sworn to in accordance with law,
hereby depose and state:

1. That I am the incumbent Barangay Captain of Cansibao, Valencia, Bohol;

2. That on February 2, 2018, Mrs. Ananieva Gamalo went to my office to apply for a
cutting permit and ask permission from me to cut her coconut trees, gemelina and
dead tipolo because it is hazardous being near to a house;

3. That on 22th day of February, 2018, I issued a Certification to Ananieva Gamalo

upon her request attesting to the fact that she is the legal owner of the gemelina
trees planted in Cansibao, Valencia, Bohol;

4. That I considered said trees as hazardous to life and property being near to the
commercial building of Benjamin Gamalo, so I issued said Certification for the
purpose of cutting the said Gemelina;

5. That with regards to the coconut trees the same is also hazardous being near to the
house of Benjamen Gamalo;

6. That the subject Tipolo trees allegedly cut were already dead and can posed hazard
to the passersby and I believed cutting it is justified;

7. That the molave tree was not actually cut, it only got damaged by the cutting of the
Tipolo trees nearby;

8. That I did not receive any complaint from Socorro Tagaro relative to the alleged
cutting of trees;

9. That I learned that there were incidents of cutting happening in February 11, 2018
but not in the land owned by Ananieva Gamalo, instead of another person;

10. That it is not true that the PNP of Valencia has no action against the complaint of
Mr. Tagarro, in fact the PNP of Valencia delivered the subject lumber to the
Barangay for safekeeping;

11. That I am executing this Affidavit to certify or attest to the truth of the foregoing
facts and for whatever legal purposes that this Affidavit may serve.
