Be A Part Of The Solution Not Part Of The Pollution:

“Access to clean water” and “Sustainable use of water”

I. RATIONALE

All of us depend on the access to clean water: Without water to drink, we will die within a few days.
Plants and animals are not able to grow and survive without water; also our food production needs
water. In short, water is life! That`s why the Eco warriors wants to deal with the question how to
manage with our dependence on fresh water while the fresh water resources have rapidly decreased
over the last decades. The loss of fresh water is caused by different reasons as climate change, pollution
Our team wants to prevent water pollution of nearby rivers in our town by cleaning up and building
signage that stops them throwing garbage in our rivers.

II. PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The immediate objectives of the project Be A Part Of The Solution Not Part Of The Pollution: “Access to
clean water” and “Sustainable use of water” is to foster regional cooperation and to address also water
quality and quantity problems; and to promote changes in the economic sectors causing pollution,
water shortages and habitat degradation. The focus will be on transboundary issues.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

Our main objective here is to protect our Mother Earth because we all know that healthy freshwater
environments supply water for drinking, growing crops, manufacturing, energy and transport. They also help to
prevent erosion, dispose of waste and provide natural protection from flooding. Reduce or eliminate releases of
persistent organic pollutants into the environment and promote the sound management of chemicals
globally. Reduce and manage risks to human health and environment especially disposal of hazardous
waste.

METHODOLOGY

The methodology to achieve this project goal is the use garbages and building signage that was compact,
affordable and long lasting. Any motivated individual or group can inspire a river cleanup, but successful
events are inevitably the product of community involvement, careful planning, vigorous promotion,
adequate fundraising and logistical organization.

III. STATEMENT OF BENEFITS; WHO WILL BE BENEFITED AND HOW WILL THEY BE BENEFIT

Polluted water is of great concern to the aquatic organism, plants, humans, and climate and indeed
alters the ecosystem. The preservation of our water environment, which is embedded in sustainable
development, must be well driven by all sectors.

IV. BUDGET

The Money Boss helps develop a cleanup budget, keeps the “books” and ensures that bills are paid. The
Money Boss should be an enthusiastic person with business and community contacts who can identify
sources of money and in-kind donations. Many costly supplies can be donated or discounted, such as
trash bags, work gloves, beverages and food. The Money Boss needs to communicate with the planning
committee and cleanup crew to maintain a unified, coordinated fundraising effort. The Money Boss
should open a checking account and identify individuals who can sign checks. If big sums of money are
involved, consider having a limit for individual expenses and possibly requiring two signatures to
validate a check.
