Stress Management

When I feel emotional or physical tension, I suffer from stress. It can come from any

event or thought that makes you feel disappointed, furious, or nervous. It is simply my

physical reaction to defiance or request. In short, stress can be positive or negative. Stress

management is all about being responsible for your thinking, your emotions, your timetable,

your environment, and the way you tackle problems. The ultimate goal is a balanced life

which has got enough time for work, relations, recuperation, and cheerfulness. You need both

of the resilience and perseverance to hold up under pressure and be able to move on with

your life. Stress makes plentiful physical and mental symptoms which differ according to

each individual's situational factors. These can include physical health decline

including depression. Stress management provides a number of ways to handle anxiety and

keep overall well-being. In spite of stress often being thought of as a subjective experience,

levels of stress are readily assessable, using various physiological tests.

In order to deal with a stressful situation, you need to change the situation and this

can really happen either by keeping away from or adjusting the stressor. You may also

change your reaction by becoming accustomed to the stressor or accepting it. You have to

keep a positive attitude and assert your feelings, opinions, and beliefs rather than being

angry, defensive and passive. You need also to relax through meditation and yoga or exercise

regularly to fight back stress. You also need to eat healthy and well-balanced meals. You

have to learn how to manage your time effectively and set limits properly to decline any

request that causes excessive stress. You’d better get enough sleep to recover from any

stressful events. You should never take to alcohol, drugs or any uncontrollable behavior to
reduce it. In a few words, you don’t have to be captivated by the hustle and bustle of life

because you should take care of your own needs.

Totally, you have some strategies to be able to resist any stressful situation. These

techniques include every aspect of stress so as to eliminate it. The first strategy is to avoid

unnecessary stress which means to stay away from unnecessary sources of stress and not

completely ignore them. Then, you have to modify the situation to be able to tackle it more

effectively and positively. You are to adapt to the stressor or in other words you have to

reframe the problem to suit you well. You shouldn’t seek perfection all the time, because it is

almost impossible. You should bear into consideration that there are unavoidable. You can’t

prevent or change stressors such as the death of someone you love most, a serious illness, or

a national depression. Hence, the best way to keep up with stress is to accept things as they

are. Acceptance may be difficult, but not impossible. You need to learn to forgive and accept

the fact that we live in an imperfect world and that people make mistakes. You need to relieve

yourself from negative energy by forgiving and moving on. It is up to you to make time for fun

and relaxation to enjoy your life and find a positive attitude in it. You need to be more sociable

and keep your sense of humor to fight stress well. The last strategy is to adopt a healthy lifestyle

that means regular exercise, a healthy diet and above all adequate sleep. The three elements

achieve both mental and physical strength which enables you to overcome any stressful situation

ever.

In brief, you are much more responsible for both your emotional and mental health, as

well as, your physical health. You should lead a very well-balanced lifestyle that makes you
control your stress levels. Regular practice to these techniques will build your physical and

emotional flexibility, heal your body, and boost your overall feelings of joy and calmness.

My Opinion:

I learned that stress is a major cause that hampers all our efforts to do well at life in

general and particularly at work. One advantage is that it can be positive one which enforces

work and boosts it the maximum. However, there are negative aspects that hinder work. I

think I ought to control my stress source and try to lead an equitable life that has emotional,

mental and physical sides.
