3.2.1  ALPHA ECC Strategy toward each product: 

™ Overall cost leadership:  
• Alpha Ecc is developing policies & market strategies to get becoming and remaining the 
lower‐cost producer and/or distributor of pipeline industry. With improving and 
increasing the capacity of fabrication of equipment modules – considered the core 
products for the next period,  ALPHA ECC ‘s  strategies aimed at controlling costs include 
construction of efficient – scale facilities, tight control of cost overhead, avoidance of 
marginal customer accounts, minimization of operating expenses, reduction of input 
costs, tight control of labor costs, and lower distribution costs, ALPHA ECC can deliver 
the equal‐quality products but much competitive cost compared to other competitors in 
the market. Furthermore, performing most of the processes from design to FAT in house 
 … of higher modules as well as lower modules is also the key factor for ALPHA to reduce 
the cost. 
™ Differentiation:  
• With the succeed of being accredited by ASME code for pressure vessel design, 
fabrication and testing under U, S and R stamps in the early 2007, ALPHA ECC has 
become the first company in Vietnam to offer the complete service of pressure vessel 
contained skid package to oil and gas , petrochemical and power projects. 
• Engineers , in conjunction with the support from over engineering partners, vendors and 
suppliers , starts to cope with the latest technology in gas and water treatment, 
chemical flows, ect… to input into the process and mechanical design for every single 
package. Proven evidences of their efforts and ability have been recorded thru the 
smooth and accurate operation of equipments which were delivered and currently 
under operation. The more ALPHA ECC ‘s engineers can improve technical knowledge, 
the better solution the company can provide and the more competitive cost it can offer. 
• Beside, company procurement team is able to professionally handle various types of 
equipments, materials … in order to meet the demand from engineering and 
construction team. Moreover, most of skid packages and modules are built for export to 
many projects worldwide, the aid of logistic team to ensure the packing and delivery to 
client’s request destination worldwide contributes the important factor to the succeed. 
  
™ Focus:  
• Offshore servicing activities are the core and the start‐up business of ALPHA ECC but the 
onshore general fabrication and construction is expected to be a key element to expand 
the business volume of ALPHA ECC to the local and exported markets. 
• Over last few years, ALPHA ECC has gained a remarkable achievement in spreading out 
its market share throughout of Vietnam. The company has been contributing to projects 
as subcontractors, main contractors and even technical consultants and project 
management. Despite of the size of project, ranging from simple steelwork platform to 
completed processing plant, ALPHA ECC always make it equal effort to delivery safety, 
quality and on‐time project to clients. 
• Although the company does not offer the complete engineering service as an designing 
firm, ALPHA ECC is fully capable of advising its clients with the commendable and

Rigs, Platforms, FPSO and other Marine Facilities. 
o Carry out the Engineering, fabrication, construction, installation, and commissioning of the 
Mechanical Equipments and Equipment production Chain for Production Plants, Offshore 
Platforms. 
o Carry out the Fabrication, Construction, of Oil & Gas Pipelines, Pressure Vessels, Tanks and 
Plants. 
o Carry out the Engineering, Fabrication, and Construction of Mechanical Equipments for Oil & 
Gas sector (Pressure Vessel, Separator, Skimmer, Gas Scrubber, Gas Filter, Chemical Injection 
Skid, thermal oil heater, CPI…) 
3.2.2.2 Product’s market density: 
In a competitive environment such as Industry of pipeline installation and fabrication, it is 
obviously inevitable for ALPHA ECC when competing with some powerful and experienced rivals. 
Therefore, a set price for each installation and delivery must be carefully considered by the 
board of manager of ALPHA ECC in order to be suitable for a processing cost as well as ensure 
product quality. With product – large dimension, simultaneously, shipping cost is an issue that 
the board of ALPHA ECC has been always making discussion regularly to ensure the 
transportation is convenient and the product can be guaranteed. 
Furthermore, Engineers , in conjunction with the support from over engineering partners, 
vendors and suppliers , starts to cope with the latest technology in gas and water treatment, 
chemical flows, ect… to complete project quickly, especially for some packages with high 
technology, lager dimension such as HHP separator, flash drum, instrument gas skid… 
Most of products are mainly focus in the Vietnam market. Besides, a number of project are 
cooperated with multinational companies and foreign companies, which aimed at improving 
skills and development capabilities of ALPHA ECC in order to make strategic interrelationship as 
well as expand the business scope of ALPHA ECC.  
  
3.2.2.3 Product’s position toward Buyers: 
Typically, the key products of ALPHA ECC are chemical injection skid, utility gas conditioning skid 
(gas heater, scrubber, filter), closed drain vessel, flare knockout drum, nitrogen bottle skid… so a 
number of purchase orders are as unusual as the commodities in the market. Product sales are 
based on a different aspect for analyzing. These products are often required by the client’s 
projects. Furthermore, ALPHA ECC is ready to provide the full detail information of all products 
and advise the usability, price as well as the guaranteed operation standards in order to please 
the business partners.
