Sample Interview Questions

Some of the important questions which will be asked to you during the interview are as
follows: -

These are general questions which are asked during the interview very often. Some of
them are as follows: -

1) Tell me about your self (this question is generally framed in many different formats it
is better to prepare for this question in general)?

2) What do you know about the software sector (If you are going for a mechanical
position remove the software word from the question and put your field)?

3) What do you understand about the job requirements?


In this question an interviewer determines 30% of your chances because he assumes you
understood the job requirements and then applied for the job.

4) What part or sector of this industry (Or) specialization interests you?

5) When there are so many openings why do you want to choose this industry which is
generally boring?

6) What do you think the future of this industry after ten years?
To answer these types of questions you need to be updated with the current trends of the
industry. Lot more questions can asked in this format.

7) Is there any scope of development in the field of security of applications?

8) Why did you apply for this company? What makes you interested in this company?

9) How do you think your education background prepared you for a career in this
industry?

10) Tell me about your project (Or) explain in detail about your project?
When answering this question try to explain him everything step by step. Step by step
should include details about the project. Some of them are: -
1) Environment.
2) Behavior.
3) Team members and their contribution.
4) Programming languages, platforms and testing tools you used during your project are
very important.
5) Also it is very important for you to know the training software you used.
Explain to him everything in detail and don’t forget to mention any supporting
documents you have during the process. It increases your credibility of you.
11) Explain to me in detail about your contribution to the project?

12) Is there any addition which can be done to a project which can improve it? Explain to
me why it is important
Remember that there always exists a room for improvement irrespective of which project
it is. You can state about any improvement like there should have been more testing for
security flaws, new apps should have been added, design process, design to code
compatibility, etc. Don’t forget that you need to provide sufficient examples for that.

26) Do you have any questions or queries regarding the company?

27) What do you say about the iteration rate in IT companies?

30) What makes you different from those sitting outside for their turn?

There can be many such questions but it is you who can answer and frame them better.
Try to answer these questions in a white paper and for evaluation ask your friends, family
members and colleagues.
