Weekly reflection 2

The start of this week was easier for me because I got to know the students in the first

week and I memorized their names and understood their needs and learning styles when it

comes to teaching my lessons, I got talk to them and interact with them enough in the

first week to know almost each students learning style, I prepared a lesson for the

students with different types of activities to cater to each student and their learning style,

the lesson was all about winter.

I prepared so many activities with the winter theme, even though it was difficult to think

of some activities, I showed my MST (Ms. Fatima) the activity I wanted to give the

students and informed me that the students in the school are not used to cutting and

gluing things to each other and they mostly do writing activities in the classroom, so I

thought and told her that we have to have a creative activity somehow since it’s a science

lesson and not an English lesson.

I made an activity with clay and let the students create a snowman and an activity with

cotton and let the students make an igloo with it, I managed to get some glitter and

decoration for the students so they can be creative while creating their snowmen and

igloos, and I found out that I have so many creative students in my classroom, I had other

activities that allowed the students who like writing and words to be able to create a

snowman using letters and the write the word they made. There were not that many

students in the classroom to attend my lesson because of the coronavirus illness

spreading, some students stayed at home and couldn’t come to school, the teacher told me

that I could still teach my lesson even though there weren’t as many students as usual.
