Summary
The story is about the six young people who take a tour in a abandoned city because of
the nuclear power plant accident. Chris and his girlfriend Natalie that has a big cleavage are
traveling with their friend Amanda in Europe while searching for his brother Paul. They stop in
Ukraine to visit Paul before going to Moscow, Where Chris has a plan to propose on his
Paul suggest to them that he wants them to have an extreme tour in Pripyat, an abandoned
town where the Chernobyl accident in 1986 occurred. They meet the tour guide Yuri and they
are joined by a couple named Zoe and Michael. Yuri drives them through the town but they are
stop by a military checkpoint. The six refused to discontinue the trip because they already pay
Yuri. Yuri decided to take them in an alternative route that he discovered many years ago.
The group stops at a river where Yuri pranks them of getting attacked by a monster. After
this, they found a mutated fish with large fangs and is still alive even in land. The group is
worried about radiation poisoning but Yuri assures that the place is safe with Geiger counter.
Yuri takes them to an abandoned apartment and he shows them the Chernobyl nuclear power
plant.
The group prepares to leave Pripyat but the wires of their van has been chewed out.
Suddenly, strange noises are heard outside where Yuri goes out to investigate and Chris follows
him. Shots are heard and Paul runs out returning with Chris whose leg has been severely injured
and claiming that Yuri has been caught by them. While decided to stay the night in their vehicle,
The next day, Paul, Michael, and Amanda go out to look for Yuri. They follow a trail of
blood to the cafeteria and they found the mutilated body of Yuri. They take his gun and are
chased by the creature through the building before getting into the van. Amanda checks her
camera and found out that it caught one of the mutated creatures in the apartment. Natalie stays
with his wounded boyfriend while the others hike to check the environment.
During the hike, the four people find a parts that they can use in Yuri’s van. On the way
back they are chased a mutant dog and also attack by a mutant fish in the steam. Night falls as
the group returns to the van only to find out that it is destroyed. They find Natalie’s video camera
showing that she and Chris are attacked by humanoid mutants inside the van. While searching
During their escape, a traumatized Natalie is found but when they got distracted by a
mysterious young girl, she then again got captured. The rest of the group are being chased by a
horde of mutants and are forced to retreat in an underground passage where Michael also got
captured in their way. As they continue, they find Chris engagement ring and they found a body.
They thought that it is Chris body but they found out that is a mutated body. While climbing a
ladder, a gang of mutated humans drag Zoe back down. Amanda and Paul emerged in the
passage right beside the exposed nuclear reactor core. The extremely high radiation levels are
causing their skin to tear apart and their eyes to get blurry. They found the dead body of Natalie
and the two survivors encounter the soldiers outside the building. They shot Paul and they
capture Amanda.
Amanda fell unconscious and when she wakes up, she found several doctors informing
her that she is in a hospital. The doctors reveal that the creatures are escaped patient and after
realizing that Amanda knows too much about it, they decided to take her in a dark cell where a
Facts
Chernobyl Diaries is a 2012 American disaster horror film directed by Brad Parker and
produced by Oren Peli, who also wrote the story. The film stars Jonathan Sadowski, Jesse
McCartney, Devin Kelley, Olivia Taylor Dudley, Ingrid Bolsø Berdal, Nathan Phillips, and
Dimitri Diatchenko, and was shot on locations in Pripyat, Hungary, and Serbia.
The Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant (officially, the Vladimir Ilyich Lenin Nuclear Power
Plant) is a closed nuclear power plant near the abandoned city of Pripyat in northern Ukraine,
14.5 kilometers (9 mi) northwest of the city of Chernobyl, 16 kilometers (10 mi) from the
Belarus–Ukraine border, and about 110 kilometers (68 mi) north of Kiev.
Reactor No. 4 was the site of the Chernobyl disaster in 1986, and the power plant is now
within a large restricted area known as the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. Both the zone and the
former power plant are administered by the State Agency of Ukraine on Exclusion Zone
Management. The three other reactors remained operational after the accident but were
eventually shut down by 2000, although the plant remains in the process of decommissioning as
exclusion zone, it's clear that the film was definitely not shot there as the details do not match the
real-life place. Both Chernobyl and Pripyat have been deemed safe for tourists to visit since
2010. However, tourists have to be screened before they visit and checked for radioactive
particles after they leave. Tourists are also told not to touch objects that have been cordoned off
Despite looking normal, Chernobyl's animals and plants are mutants. There may be no
three-headed cows roaming around, but scientists have noted significant genetic changes in
organisms affected by the disaster. In August 1986, at the first international conference on the
Chernobyl disaster, the IAEA established but did not make official a figure of 4,000 deaths as the
total number of projected deaths caused by the accident over the long term.
Reactor No. 1 and 3 continued to operate after the disaster. Reactor No. 2 was
permanently shut down in 1991 after a fire broke out due to a faulty switch in a turbine. Reactors
No. 1 and 3 were eventually closed due to an agreement Ukraine made with the EU in 1995.
Some scientists say Fukushima is worse than the 1986 Chernobyl accident, with which it
shares a maximum level-7 rating on the sliding scale of nuclear disasters. "Fukushima is still
boiling its radionuclides all over Japan," he said. "Chernobyl went up in one go. So Fukushima is
worse.” Twenty-five years after the incident, restriction orders had remained in place in the
UK, only in 2012 the mandatory radioactivity testing of sheep in contaminated parts of the UK
years. The disaster took place near the city of Chernobyl in the former USSR, which invested
heavily in nuclear power after World War II. In the International Journal of Cancer concludes
that Chernobyl will have caused 16,000 thyroid cancers and 25,000 other cancers in Europe by
Theory
The movie Chernobyl diaries shows some theories about the mutated plants, animals and
humans that is caused by ionization radiation by the explosion of the nuclear power plant. In the
movie some doctors are experimenting mutated humans to have specific information in curing
cancer diseases.
Application
The movie wants us to show the importance of friendship. This six group of friends are
not leaving each other behind are working together to escaped in the city. Just like in our own
circle of friends, help each other to climb up instead of dragging everyone down will lead
everyone in a successful life and friendship. The movie also shows that we should follow the
rules or laws that the government has given to us to avoid casualties and accidents.
HONOR CODE:
The members of this group promise to help each other in every activity. I promise that I
will submit the works that I contribute to group cooperation. I will follow the principles and
