Individual Group Assignment: Developing a Research Proposal
Assignment Objective Encourage students to develop a research proposal by
following one of the quantitative research methods:
experimental research (pre-experimental research, true-
experimental research, quasi-experimental research) and
non-experimental research (survey research, correlational
research, causal-correlational research)
Assignment Detail
a Scope In meeting 10, the students individually are assigned to
develop a research proposal. They have to choose one of
the following quantitative research methods: pre-
experimental research, true-experimental research, quasi-
experimental research, survey research, correlational
research, causal-correlational research. The research
problems are formulated based on their preliminary research
under the theme ELT.
b Instructions 1) Conduct preliminary research and formulate research
problem(s) in week 11.
2) Make a proposal draft based on the preliminary research
by following the provided research proposal formats in
week 12-13.
3) Have a consultation to the teacher and revise the draft in
week 14.
c Output A research proposal
Evaluation Criteria 1) Accuracy in developing background and significance of
the research (40%)
2) Accuracy in formulating research design and method
(40%)
3) Accuracy in formatting, grammar, punctuation, word
choice (20%)
