Chapter V: Summary, Conclusions, and Recommendations

This chapter presents the summary of the findings, the conclusions and

recommendations of the study.

Summary

The purpose of the study was to identify the Common Difficulties in English

Grammar. This study use explanatory-descriptive research. It started from

gathering data of Grade 10-Faith Students in San Roque National High

School through the use of Open-Ended Questionnaires to identify the

Common Difficulties in English Grammar. The data gathered were

interpreted, analyzed and presented by using data matrix or table of

responses. The results were then bases and proposed recommendations.

The study answered the following questions:

1. What are the Common Difficulties in English Grammar?

1.1 Writing

1.2 Speaking

2. As a student how will you conquer your difficulties in English grammar

writing and speaking?

3. How will you response when you are having difficulties in English

Grammar?
Major Findings

The following were the findings arrived at in the course of the

Interpretation and analysis of data presented in Chapter Four.

1.1  Wrong Spelling


 Wrong Grammar
 Lack of Idea/Topic
 Bad Hand Writing
 Way of Writing
 Confuse
 Can’t translate tagalog words to English.
 Words that has a different meaning or use
may affect the sentences
1.2  Wrong construction of grammar
 Uttered while speaking
 English Fluently
 Pressure
 Can’t process
 Nervous
 Delivering the message pronunciation
 Misinterpret right use of words

 Memorize English Words
 Listen To English Songs
 Practice words pronunciation

 Try to correct the mistake or the error
 Just be quiet
Conclusions

In the light of the findings, the following conclusions were drawn:

1. The respondents were fully aware about the Common Difficulties in

English Grammar

2. Based on the responses there is a common difficulty in both writing

and speaking English and it is the wrong construction of sentences or

phrase or wrong grammar.

3. Therefore the impact of difficulty is visible to the responses of the

respondents.

Recommendation:

In view of the aforementioned findings and conclusions, the

researchers recommend the following:

1. Memorize a word daily with meanings frequency readings and through

the use of internet practice English. – Glaiza P. Dela Cruz

2. Read a word everyday through the program "wow" word for the day to

lesson student difficulties in English grammar. – Miraflor M. De Asis
