Field Tools V3.2 Product Release Notes

Description
This document describes the release of Field Tools version 3.2 (395787-21-0). It describes the items and enhancements
addressed in this release, details compatibilities, provides upgrade instructions, itemizes current known issues, and includes a
revision history (if applicable). Field Tools 3.2 provides a single integrated package for connecting to and configuring ROC,
FloBoss™, and ControlWave™ flow computers and RTUs; FB1000 and FB2000 Series Flow Computers; and FB3000 RTUs.
The features described in this document are available only if they are appropriately incorporated into the configuration of the
flow computer.
Note: Certain FB3000 features require a license. Obtain licenses through an online portal; install licenses using FBxConnect.

Major Updates and Enhancements

FB1000, FB2000, and FB3000:
◼ Included Pause button on Monitor and Meter Displays (SupportNet 150940/TFS 30891)
◼ Resolved connection issues related to database build (SupportNet 152363/TFS 27209)
◼ Enabled the “fast-removal” of a previously assigned object or parameter reference by selecting Undefined in the
Point Picker (TFS 9159)
FB3000 Specific:
◼ Added support for FB3000 Extension Rack (TFS 28568).
Note: This enhancement requires FB3000 firmware 2.02 or later, to be released at a later date.

Known Limitations and/or Issues

Following are the known limitations/issues with this release. Please review them to better understand how to use this release.
FBxConnect
◼ FBxVue™ displays with imbedded images may experience delayed loading times
◼ Clicking multiple times quickly between stations on the FB3000 Configure > Summary display may unexpectedly
close FBxConnect.
◼ Unexpected application closure can occur in FBxVue if you repeatedly switch between configure and preview modes.
◼ FBxDesigner software able to connect and download projects via the 2nd Ethernet Port. Currently only the 1st
Ethernet port (Comm 5) is supported.
