ABSTRACT
Electrical power is crucial to modern systems. From the smallest of sensors and bionic
important to be able to deliver power by means other than wires or transmission lines..
This paper explores the current wireless power transmission schemes and their
practicability. It also delves into theory, design and construction of a method to transmit
power through space. This project was intended to provide scientific study and
experimentation of a mini tesla coil. The specific goal of the research program was to

CHAPTER I
INTRODUCTION
The idea of transmitting power through the space was conceived over a
century ago, with Nikola Tesla’s pioneering ideas and experiments perhaps being
the most well-known early attempts to do so. As per Dickerson, K. (2014), the
first system that could wirelessly transmit electricity, is the Tesla coil, it was a
dreamed of creating a way to supply power to the world without stringing wires
across the globe. The inventor came close to accomplishing this when his "mad
scientist" experiments with electricity led to his creation of the Tesla coil. His
vision was to wirelessly distribute power over large distances using the earth’s
ionosphere.
Hartsfield, T. (2014) stated that the power of the Tesla coil lies in a process
electric potential that compels current to flow. Conversely, flowing electric current

However, for these systems to operate efficiently, the primary coil (source)
and secondary coil (device) must be located in close proximity and carefully
positioned with respect to one another. From a technical point of view, this
means the magnetic coupling between the source and device coils must be large
for proper operation. To overcome the above challenges, that is, to transmit
somewhat larger distances or have more freedom in positioning the source and

Research Questions
This study was mainly concerned and limited only with the experimentation
of mini tesla coil and was conducted within the vicinity of Pampanga mainly at
National High Magnetic Field Laboratory (2014) stated that in the late 1800s,
electricity had long been discovered and was no longer considered a novelty.
The science of how to store, enhance, or transmit electrical current was just
beginning to evolve, and eccentric scientist Nikola Tesla (1856-1943) was on the
cutting edge of that research. In 1891, Tesla unveiled one of his most important
high voltage at low current. He built several variations of his invention. Tesla
used his brainchild to research such diverse areas as lighting, X-rays and electric
power transmission. Customized Tesla coils are now frequently used to ignite
powerful mercury and sodium streetlamps. On the big screen, a Tesla coil was
used to produce lighting effects for the 1979 film "Star Trek: The Motion Picture."

that captivated the eyes of the people and that is the “Tesla coil” ,the "Tesla coil,"
