What comes into your mind when you hear the

word Domestic Violence?
Hurting your family or relatives.

Very good! What else?

Harassing your partner ma’am
Very good!

Domestic violence is an act that includes

physical assault, sexual abuse, verbal abuse and
emotional abuse. These are the behaviors that
are used by one person in a relationship who
tries to control other.

Who among you are victim of domestic

violence?
(Some students raise their hands)
I have a friend who is also a victim of Domestic
Violence. His father is physically and verbally
hurting her every time his father is drunk.

What do you feel when you are being abused by

others?
I feel depressed because of what they might do
will affect my performance at school and home.
Very good!

In our next activity, discuss the word that you

have formed by group. Give some examples and
present it to the class through Facebook live
within 3 minutes. Everyone will be given 3
emojis. Each reaction has a corresponding
point/s. Do the activity in five minutes only.

(heart) 3 points
(wow) 2 points
(like) 1 point
(students will discuss on how are they going to
present the activity)
So! Are you now ready to do your Facebook
Live presentation?
Yes ma’am!

May I call on the Group I for their Facebook

Live presentation?
(Group I presentation)

Topic: Physical Assault

Physical Assault – hurting a person’s body or a

family member.

It includes:
 Hitting/kicking/pinching
 Spitting
 Tripping/ pushing
 Taking or breaking someone’s things
 Making mean or rude hand gestures.
Examples of physical assault

Very good! Let’s give Group I a round of

applause.
In Addition, If someone hurts or injures you or
another person, it is physical assault.

May I call on the Group II for their presentation

(Group II presentation)
Topic: Emotional Abuse

Emotional Abuse- if you feel scared or confused

around your partner, or doubt yourself when
you’re talking with them, you may be
experiencing emotional abuse. An emotional
abuser’s goal is to undermine another person’s
feeling of self-worth and independence.
Emotional abuse is form of domestic and family
violence.

This includes:
 Makes you feel like you are not good
enough.
 Constantly threaten to leave you unless
you do what they say
 Threatens to hurt you, themselves or
others if you leave.
Examples:

Very good.
In addition, in an emotionally abusive
relationship, you may feel that there is no way
out or that without your partner you’ll have
nothing.

May I call on Group III for their presentation?

(Group III presentation)

Topic: Sexual Abuse

Sexual Abuse – also referred to as molestation,

it is abusive sexual behavior by one person
upon another. It is often perpetrated using force
or by taking advantage of another. When force
is immediate, of short duration, or infrequent, it
is called sexual assault.

Examples:

Very good.
Sexual abuse does not come from an
uncontrollable sex drive, but is a crime
committed deliberately with the goal of
controlling and humiliating the victim.
And last but not the least Group IV.

(Group IV presentation)
Topic: Verbal abuse

Verbal abuse- it is an act of saying bad, mean or

rude word to someone.

It includes:

 They try to make you feel guilty and

position themselves as the victim.
 They hit the wall, pound their fists, or
throw things.
 They frequently yell or scream at you.

 They insult or attempt to humiliate you.

Then they accuse you of being overly
sensitive or say that it was a joke and
you have no sense of humor.

Examples:

Very good!

You may be assaulted by verbal abuse at work,

at home, at school, on the road, or walking
through a park, and there is nothing you can do
to prevent it. No one, anywhere, is immune to
verbal abuse.

Indeed you had exceeded my expectation; all of

your presentations are perfect, let’s give
yourselves a round of applause.
