People are built different, influenced by many aspects of their lives in their existence and

aspirations. Our path and decisions, are drawn by our conceptions, values, and ideals, and

like in a glass box, we cannot escape from them, circumstances will shape the way we

conceive the reality, and as free men, our resolutions to changing it, or maintaining

ourselves in the dusk of self-pettiness. What we are is what we aspire to be, it is an

inherent attribute of the respective moral, ethic, and conciseness that we adopt as our

own, and apply to our actions.

I remember watching a Documentary named Home; that has risen in my mind as an

oneiric memento until these days. It was about that, our Home, the Earth, the impact of

humans on it and how we had changed it, to the point of its environments being

unrecognizable, and just a shadow of what they were 80 years back. That day I cried,

because even in my youngness, I understood the significance behind the film; the reality

that many covered in their delusional pipe dreams; it was terrifying, and the artistical

aesthetic of its shots made it unforgettable, overwhelming, and even tangible; it was, on

the beautiful horror of these pictures and the peaceful voice relating those matters where I

discovered the stunning reality surrounding me, and the pillars and motivations behind

my today aspirations. My dreams of dedicating my career to the green design were born

here, even without my notice.

Furthermore, I was always a very active and curious child, holding an uncommon

awareness and conciseness of some unspoken trues, and a sharp tongue and crudeness at

the time of express my opinions and thoughts respecting my topics of interest. My

mother says that the first time she noticed that was when I was seven years old, and after

being called to the podium because of winning a painting contest in the church, they ask

me to express my thoughts regarding God. I stood there, microphone in hand and sighed,

and with that powerful childhood bold confidence, I started to question the veracity in

their beliefs, stating that, if there was a real God in this world, with attributes such as

kindness and sympathy for us, his creations, the war, and misery enclosing and taking

countless lives would simply not exist. It was, as I can understand today, not an accurate

observation, but for my mother was a clear statement of what I could achieve in the

future and something that will motivate her to keep encouraging on me the development

of critical thinking through the means of literature.

As the time came by, my purposes and values started to flourish, turning my ideals of

when I was younger into a more realistic and rational statement of my concerns and

goals. The resolutions that drove me became more complex and centered. Hedging on the

importance of those close to me and the continues seek for knowledge and improvement.

Stating as my chief priorities the achievement of higher education on a career I would be

passionate about, and provide me the opportunity to improve communities with artistical

and innovating concepts, that not only were able to prioritize and benefit the environment

and ecosystems but also to maintain and praise the culture existing in the place. Hence,

my vocation to be dedicated to the field of architecture. Aiming to establish a name that

will reach future generations as a symbol of prosperity, enlightenment, and progress, and

the imperative obligation to preserve our surroundings.
