Assessment Scheme This is the assessment scheme of Business Fluency. It includes:
- Assessment criteria (categories considered in the process of assessing a
candidate’s performance throughout the course) - Weight (the relevant percentage of assessment out of 100) - Description(a short description of each of the assessment criteria)
Assessment Criteria Weight Description
Ongoing from session 1 to session 10
Attendance 10% All candidates are expected to attend all of the ten sessions. Attending one session corresponds to one mark. Ongoing from session 1 to session 10 – assessed by course instructor Participation 20% All candidates are expected to participate in most of the speaking activities and input sessions. Participation means to be positive, cooperative, and responsive. Progress Test conducted in session 6 The Progress Test is a Reading Comprehension test Progress 10% that includes an article about a business theme that is followed by MCQs. The article is similar to the articles taught in the course, so the learners could demonstrate their mastery of the reading skills that have been practiced throughout the course. Conducted in sessions five, seven, and nine Each quiz is meant to assess the learners’ awareness of the business terminology taught in the course. Four Written Quizzes 20% Quizzes are short and act only as a prompt for learners to consolidate their knowledge. Conducted on Session 10 Final Performance may include: - rehearsed sketches - mega role plays Final Performance 40% - meeting simulations - group presentations
