CONCEPTUAL APPROACH   AESTHETIC APPROACH   TEACHERS FOLLOW-UP

The concept that is going to be used to

create the song is love and tragedy.
Love is the most beautiful aspect of life, Andrés Julián Moreno (musician: Piano):
the way that people can be so different,Through the piano I have helped to set the

rage and anger and many negativeenvironment. Later, the song will a higher

with this project is to create a state of
despair and hatred towards the main

character through an audiovisual media.
Our idea is to make an empathetic song
that makes the listener feel the tragedySimón Hernandez (musician, percussionist): In
of the death and suffering that Jacksonrelation to my role with the project, the

diegetic. moments. The first will be seen with a calmer
tone, where the percussion works more as an
accompaniment to what the bass and guitar

respectively do. In fact, it will have almost no
notes, it will only show a very small part of what
will be respectively the choir and some parts of
the stanzas. This, with the aim of giving it much
more strength and make explode what comes
after the introduction, causing an effect of
emotion and inspiration in the listener, which
also fulfills the effect of expectation that causes
to start a blues-rock so calm and reduced. In
the second part, as mentioned above, the
complete form of the percussion will be shown,
which follows a rhythmic structure of a blues-
rock in 12-bars, going very close to the figure
that makes the bass respectively. That will be
done in choirs and stanzas, where its difference
lies in that the choir will be noisier, including
several fills and the open hi-hat. Finally, on the
bridge there will be a classical improvisation of
the Blues, following as a reference what the
musician BB King did with his band.

 Camilo Rodríguez (musician): through the

song the instruments will have two different
moments, those which are with a clean tone, in
a slower tempo and much softer, to represent
melancholy and sadness. And then the parts
with heavily distorted guitar and bass, a higher
tempo and energetic and rage full improvisation
to show the anger and pain that comes with
sadness and tragedy. The idea is for the riff to
feel heavy on the beats, so that it feels slow
and powerful.

Samuel Forero (Lyrics writer): For the

development of the song, I will help my partner
write the lyrics of the song by creating a story
related to the concept that was chosen and with
some words that could be used to write the
lyrics for the song. The concept that was
chosen is tragedy and love, which is why the
lyrics need to present a story in which the
listener can feel engaged to through the pain of
the main character of the story of the song.

Martin Salazar (Lyrics Writer): the concept that

we wanted to do was love and violence, and we
wanted to create a tragic love story that
explains a fight between two persons because
of love, and we wanted to make the listener feel
the pain that a failed love cause because of
cheating and mistakes that happen in a
relationship. We want the listener to feel
empathize with the tragedy and to understand
how that feels

Felipe Gaitán (producer): To produce the song I

am in charge of the recording part of the
production, what I did was to set up the bpm of
the song, divide the introduction, verse, chorus
etc. This to have a clear idea of how much the
song would last. Also, with the help of my
partners we choose the guitar in the program
that sounded the best for the song. The other
role that I have in this song is the mixing in the
song to edit the sounds and to balance and
equilibrate the relative volume and equalization
of the sound sources that are present in this
song.
Juan Daniel Colmenares(producer):

As one of the two producers of the song I was

left in charge of working with two parts of the
process, editing and mastering. In terms of the
editing my main task will be to make sure
everything fits together, I will carefully go
through the song making sure all the
instruments and sounds that have been
included in it fit perfectly and interact naturally
with each other, while doing this I will also keep
the love mood we have set for the song so I
don’t add, move or remove anything that in any
way damages this mood. In terms of mastering
my main task will be to work with all the audio
making sure it’s at the appropriate levels and
there's no distortion among other things, on top
of that I will make sure the audio fits together
and is of good quality and will also modify
some things and add things such as reverb to
amplify or to make sure that mood of love is
even more present through the song. At the
end with the assistance of my partners I will
also edit the song into the movie scene we
picked and make sure it fits in properly.
