A. Choosing to Teach
1. When you were younger did you imagine that you will be a teacher?

I did not imagine that I will become an educator because when I was young I dreamed to
become an Accountant because I love numbers.

2. Reasons/influences for taking up a course in teacher education (BEED, BSED, or

units)?

I think the main or the contributing factor that influenced me to become a teacher was my
teacher and mentor way back in high school. Every teacher’s day, our teachers pick students to
become their student teacher and I’m one of those students. I was assigned to teach PEHM
(Mapeh today).

3. How was your experience in taking the LET? Can you share unforgettable moments?

I was challenged by my Principal in my Practice Teaching school which is Kakawate national

High School to take board exam for teachers without review. He said that all of the questions
that you will encounter in the exam were discussed by your Professors and Instructors, and if
you failed that will be the time that you need to take review class. Fortunately, I passed the LET
in just one take.

4. When was your first experience? Can you give details

I graduated way back 2013, took the LET and passed. I worked for a BPO Company for 6
months. January 2014, my former Practice Teaching Principal (Engr. Danilo A. Casas) called me
and he said I will be part of the Kakawate National High School Teaching Force and presently
still part of the team.

We are family especially in my department, I don’t impose leader-subordinates relationship it’s

like brother and sister bonding. No matter how hard the work is as long as you enjoy you will
become productive. Also this kind of treatment is applicable to all members of the school.

To my boss I see to it that I always follow her orders, and she is very easy to please.

Parents and Stakeholders of our school are very supportive, so we see to it that in every activity
they are all invited. They are important factors for the stability of the school so we should value
them.

them.
Once you get tired of teaching, think why you started and chose education. If you will
take the LET, just focus and you will remember all the things that you learned from
College. Above all, pray to our Almighty God, He will guide and bless you in your
journey.
