Foreword
The leaders of tomorrow represents a demographic that includes resourceful, competitive,
energetic multi-taskers with a positive view of the world, and a thirst to get things done. This
demographic includes Millennials as well as the Gen Z - that represent the first truly Digital Natives
to enter the workplace. They include tech entrepreneurs as well as professionals working in mid-
and large-sized technology organizations.

For the Millennials and the Gen Z, technology is a key, critical tool for getting things done. In a fast-
paced work environment, this demographic depends on technology to accomplish targets easily.

The Smartphone plays a key role for the leaders of tomorrow in a changing business environment
marked with increased complexities and challenges.

This pan-India independent study by CMR took a close look at the Millennials and other
professionals. It took a stab at understanding the mindset of the demographic, and their
expectations and perspectives on technology, especially Smartphones.

What role does the Smartphone play in the lives of the Millennials and other professionals? What
considerations go into the purchase of a smartphone? What is the typical refresh cycle for a
smartphone? How many business and productivity apps do they install, and how many, in fact, do
they actually use?

These are some of the few questions that the Mobile@Work report answers. We hope you will
gain some insights, and as always, will share your feedback with us.
