Week 5 This week you worked on creating your site

and creativity. I wanted to create an easy but
effective website for Paolo Nutini to use. On the
music page, there is a white background with
black text, I thought this would look attractive to
fans. On the other hand, on the tour page the
background is of New York city I put this on this
page as I have heard Paolo describe this as one
of his favourite places to visit. I wanted my
website to reflect his personal interests’ thought
this worked well and I’m happy.
The social media I used were twitter and
Instagram. I thought these were effective social
medias because there easy to access and they
are popular platforms. On twitter, I uploaded a
tweet of the latest music video “New shoes “and
followed some high-profile celebrities such as
Mika and Sam Smith. The one thing I am self-
critical about is that on my Instagram page I
forgot to upload my video but I did get some BHS
photos in which was nice.
I feel my site is effective. On my opening page
the latest video is the first video viewers see so
they can understand the music genre. I also
have clear tabs which separate the different
areas of the website such as a music page and
an online store page. If I could change one thing
about my promotion work it would be that I
would have a working link video so that the New

shoes video would instantly play when the viewer

Monkeys did which is who I based my website off.
I compared my site to the Arctic Monkeys. My
site is generally similar as I used effective features
to make my site more professional looking. I am
happy with my website as I was worried I wasn’t
going to have all the necessary features. I even
added an online store which I thought
complimented the website well. This sort of thing
allows fans to get involved with the artist. In the
future, I could maybe add some more style and
creativity.
Yes, I am on track and I have done work from
home as I’ve been ill and off college.

production process – such as still images, and annotated screenshots of your specific
production and editing process – including ‘what’ and ‘why’ and not just ‘how’.

Specific – be specific! Don’t just say e.g. ‘the lighting was good’ – show us where the
